My take on Nixon’s tweet is that he’s suggesting that Donald and Methven’s stakes are remaining as is and it’s actually Sartori who is losing shares to KLD.

Which I THINK is slightly different to what had been suggested before, that SD’s shareholding was coming down further

so not only might it be out of date, it’s also possibly not the whole picture

I think that might be what was a sticking point, but also think Donald will still take a slightly less percentage too

You don't have to be mastermind to know that any one who is buying the club with this lad clout would want full control. After all, its his money that's going to bank roll the club and not the Chief Chancer and his mate Braindeed.

The figures in that article are all over the shop. It says if he went for 75% (presumably a 75-25 split of the 80% available to him and Sartori) it would give him 30% overall control which is actually less than the 39% it originally states! If it was a 75-25 split with Sartori that would give KLD 60% of the overall club and control.

That hurt my head reading that

If there is a split of share holding which it looks like. I think it may be more complicated than just a division of the shares between the 4 of them
I would like to see KLD and Sartori come in as a owners of a New Company
So we see NewCo with say 85%-90% and CM SD as minority.
This would put to bed rumours of Sartori still being in with SD and CM
If talk of owning other clubs is correct it would also be a great vehicle to do that.
I would expect KLD to be majority shareholder in this NewCo and NewCo eventually take over full ownership.
I think this may well be bigger than just Sunderland

worth remembering Nixon only has a Sunday column. He could have written this Monday frankly and if the takeover doesn’t get announced in the mean time it’s not out of date.

ve just noticed he also replied to someone after the newspaper post and said he thinks ‘a lot of options are on the table’, maybe clutching at straws but hopefully that means there’s still a willingness to get it done

if and once it is announced, it'll be very interesting to see the media's attitude toward it. Are we still "news" in league one etc. we shall see.

I don't think it would be much more than an announcement on sky sports and a short discussion. We arnt news anymore even with fans as presenters

My own view, based on nothing at all, is that anyone, in this case it seems KLD, who is going to be the main money man would want a controlling shareholding. At least 51% seems obvious to me, probably more. I'm not sure I see why he would want to commit his time, energy and money for less.

But maybe there is much I cannot see.

No more hints at a 3rd person coming on board I've noticed neither. Seems ages ago it was said but there were suggestions someone else was coming on board, potentially after the takeover has been completed like it was with JS

The way I've been told the takeover will be done means people will easily be able to buy into the new company without EFL interference or any reference to Donald or Methven, if they cling on to any Madrox shares.

Said earlier this would be my preferred way for the takeover to pan out. Given what we’ve seen so far with the new structure at the club I think the announcement of a takeover will just be another step in in the project and what will hopefully be a very exciting future for the club
