Best quote ever that from the chancer.

I think that was the turning point for most fans. Clearly talking ****e but also thinking fans are daft enough to believe it.

Investing in Donald, as a football chairman (cause we all know how good he is), insurance bloke, chancer, billy bullshitting bastard or a inheritance businessman?

None of them seem worthy of investment from 3 billionaires? Maybe its cause I'm from Sunderland and I don't understand business?

You forgot to mention Hostage Negotiator, 5 Year Planner, Fan Reconnector, Open and Transparency and saving the best till last, Top Party Pooper...

if you look at the people congratulating him in the tweet - he's clearly well known in the "recuitment and analytics" world - so a step in the right direction it seems. Much rather this than an old git in a tracksuit watching games as instructed by Tony Coton. Club is growing up/

Yep. But there is still a role for the old guy in the tracksuit, and I would hope we would not ignore any tips from said men. They often really know their stuff, and if someone wants to do their analysis on top of that fair enough, but there are a lot of lads out there, and it needs a lot of people to see them.

An old mate of mine's father in law , who is now almost eighty, still passes on information on a casual basis to Boro and Celtic. He has had at least one good find that wouldn't have been spotted too, though my mate won't tell me who it was! Don't know why but his FIL said not to. As long as it's led properly, use every piece of info you can I'd say.

My concern is Donald complaining that we want a bigger share of the bailout money from the EFL.
If the deal with Dreyfus is close why would Donald be saying this, if Dreyfus is pulling the strings behind the scenes surely he would not want the bailout with all the restrictions that comes with it. Just does not add up.

That depends on how much you understand about the bailout. If you look back on this thread a lot of posters have explained it so you could understand that it is in simplicity in three parts and only one of them puts safc in a transfer embargo and that particular one is the one that we would likely not qualify for. And even if for some reason we did get it then all the new owners would have to do is pay it back. It is probably just the last thrashing of a dying Donald.

I hope you are right about the "last thrashing", Dreyfus could pay the monies back as you say, and Donald is maybe covering himself in case the deal collapses.
A tangled web if ever there was one , when you put the Yanks in as well.

Money for nothing if we stay away from part 3 that comes with the transfer embargo.

Thats a very valid point that I'm sure has not gone unnoticed by our supporters. The £375,000 and any additional funds provided by the EFL, yet to be determined, would not trouble the young man or his advisors. It certainly looks like Donald has been rumbled by Mr Dreyfus, hence him wanting the whole pie.

As I said in an earlier post the monthly costs are rumoured to be around £1m. £375,000 isn't going to put a dent in that and I believe it is a one off payment? Hopefully SD is in his death throes at SAFC.

Hopefully so, mind a gambler would take a punt on his last penny, in the hope that great wealth will be achieved by a simple 50/50 on the flip of a coin.

Without any strings attached we can get the £375k and our proportional share of the £15m. That's split between L1 and L2 clubs which would be £326k even if split equally. Given that it's actually proportional based on lost revenue and we'll be miles ahead of most clubs on that metric, I think we can safely say we'll get a minimum of £400k. If we're around about £800k then, for me, that's likely to be enough to cover a month's losses (I believe £800k is likely nearer to the figure than £1m). If Donald is serious about selling, that is sufficient to keep the wolf from the door and give plenty of time to get this investment/ takeover agreed and signed off. If he does ask for the strings attached portion of a £20m emergency fund (which I doubt he'd be granted tbh) there are some major issues with any proposed deal.
