I doubt FPP will be involved at all at present. I think they've just got the capability to refuse a sale. As far as I know, FPP aren't keen on Donald and don't think his valuation of the club is anywhere near accurate. This will likely be why they aren't trying to buy the club at present. If Donald wants to keep shares they won't be interested, if Donald wants a high price they won't be interested. I believe that what they loaned him is pretty much what they think the whole club is worth. If Donald can't pay it back then they get the club for that price, without Donald, which is basically their end game. If Donald can get what he wants in terms of staying on by selling to KLD then they'll let it go because it doesn't represent value for them at that price / deal, but they aren't going to help facilitate it, hence the money needing to be paid back. I'm hoping they've played an absolute blinder here tbh. Most think they've got no interest any more but I'm very confident that isn't the case. Donald will be in a tricky position at the minute.
Feels that way. Donald wants to have his way and Sartori is helping him getting his mate Dreyfus on board. Only to see that Dreyfus isn't that naive and wants total control after thinking it through and is forcing a deal similar to the one wanted by FPP, with Donald having about 5%. Donald would be mad to snub both billionairs, but he's an idiot after all so who knows?!

It's interesting getting all these youthful appointments in, seem to be planning for the long term. Have we had a manager younger than Johnson before? Probably have but not many.

Keano is the only one that I can think of off-hand, just checked and he'll have been about 35 when he took over

Anyone know what our scouting network is currently like?
This new guy is covering ages 15-23 specifically in the north west, suggests he will be part of a much wider set up.
Sounds like some real investment and not something you would be doing when needing a loan of the EFL

according to his tweet he's "the north", not just north west - but could be semantics.

all chimes with an owner addicted to football manager and data ;)

I think your right about him being in a tricky position . I'd be tempted to further and say "Backed into a corner". Losing a million quid a month (if true) or any amount income in any business since March was always going to make a dramatic impact on the finances of the Club.. I never once bought into Ridewells statements about being in "a sound financial situation" but if he did even mention at the EFL he is supposed to have made, then that tells me he is near the end.

If that's right, and they still haven't decided who's buying what, there's no way we're going to get an announcement any time soon.

Looking like another 'buying time with the fans' tactic as they pray we somehow end up promoted and they can sell us. Is Stephan Schwarz here yet, or FPP?

As I said earlier today FPP are in a no lose situation and they know Donald is totally screwed ...

... FPP can literally do anything they choose.

This is what happens when you play with the big boys.

Judging by your avatar were you a victim of road kill or were you just left brain damaged , the takeover is coming to completion the appointments tell you that SD has neither the intellect or the money to come up with such a plan, the deal is with the EFL . Will you lot just accept it’s a DONE deal and just move aside to let the REAL fans celebrate when the announcement is made rather than hoping the deal fails .

The desperation of some people is quite sad if they're really Sunderland supporters ...

... there's more evidence that the takeover is happening than it isn't.

Yet some people confuse facts with opinions and rumours with facts, but only if it suits them.

It could also be that Sartori was pissed off with the collapse of the deal last year and he KLD and FPP are putting the screws on Donald to get him away from the club. These are all bigger businessmen than SD and may be putting the screws on together. There are a lot of scenarios that could be at play here but I don't see many with SD getting all his own way

Seem to remember a statement from SD saying something along the lines of ' the money from FPP is to build the scouting network across the world'
