Yeah i looked at your stats after your post then mine lol.
Couldn't believe over a year had gone so quickly.

Think I've been a member of rtg ten years but didn't post for years.
Am sure i joined another. Maybe it was here :D

I tried to join there a few times over the years, but it wouldn't let me.
Im sure quite a few of you on here are glad i couldnt now <laugh>.

My thoughts on Johnson were neutral, not blown away with excitement but not gutted.

Part of the criticism directed toward him is that he couldnt get get Bristol City over the line and they always fell short.

A little delve into their transfers is telling. In each of their seasons under Johnson they made a handsome profit on transfers.

In his last season he wasnt given a penny to improve the squad whilst they again paid a profit from sales. There was a pattern of them selling their best players each summer. Difficult to push a team on in the Championship in those circumstances. Made even harder when every years theres 3 teams coming down with parachute payments.

It looks pretty much nailed on that Lee Johnson will be the next manager. I've got my head around it now.

I'll get behind him and give him a fair crack and ultimately he'll be judged on performances and results.
Great post marra, especially the bit about player's being sold each season, would undermine any manager

Gooch does have pace like. Pace does matter. We need more in central midfield and we need a striker with some. You can’t be ****e with pace obviously but it’s better than being ****e without it. Defenders are scared of it and currently defenders aren’t scared of us.
Agree with all points except Gooch. I'd murder him over 100 yards in my slippers

Great Post, and have similar thoughts on it myself.

To add to it, I would say he's attacking in his style, not frightened to change things, and gives youth a chance. Three things Parkinson was criticised for.

Before his sacking, Johnson was the longest serving manager in the league above!

If our new model is the qualities he brings, then exciting times are ahead. I think some fans forget where we currently are when they say they are underwhelmed by him. He's probably the best we can get for the structure we will have in place.

You should put your stats up on here like you did over the road. There’s quite a few posters on here who are being overly positive IMO regarding this new manager.
Your stats will bring them down to earth. Oh I know I’m a miserable so and so etc but we are all entitled to our opinion and I see nothing to enthuse about concerning Johnson.
Stats only tell part of the story though. Look at Nigel Pearson’s stats. A win rate of 50% at Leicester but only 21.4% at Southampton and Derby, 35% at Hull and 32% at OH Leuven. Clearly the specific conditions- the set up etc at different clubs- play a big role in the way a manager performs.

Technically yes.
What's the current split?
Donald - 75%
Sartori - 20%
Methven - 5%

It's changing to (IIRC)

KLD - 40%
Sartori - 40%
Donald - 15%
Methven - 5%

So, between Sartori, Donald and Methven, they will have 60% of the shares, but the "new ownership" really is KLD and Sartori with Donald a silent minority shareholder. In reality, he's only keeping hold of his shares so he can sell them at a profit when we eventually return to the PL
There is loads of guess work going on but we haven't got a clue about the financial details of the takeover.

The thing I am absolutely certain about in my mind, is that anyone with the financial clout of Dreyfus (family) and the legal advice available to him will not play second fiddle to anyone and definitely won't be stung by the likes of Donald and Methven

So, you were wrong.

You were posting all of this around September/October only around a dozen weeks ago.

It looks quite embarrassing now tbh.

Not really. Spoke to someone today and the loan deadline from FPP last week hasn’t been paid back and it seems like there’s still a lot of work to be done.

Heard and posted on here the deal looked like it was going to be completed in some capacity (re-distribution of shares at best) last week, but it looks like the french kids advisors have obviously said that a 60% majority with the 3 stooges and him footing the bill with 40% isn’t good enough

I stand by everything I’ve said since I came on here. The fans have been taken for mugs and the ITK’s have their sources who are close to CM/SD, Hence why since July they’ve said something has been happening etc When in-reality SD has been desperately trying to keep the show running

What was stated on here in July/Aug is totally different to what is supposedly happening now. Yet people for some reason still state they the ITK’s were correct all along. It’s a totally different scenario. I could drag up multiple examples of % or FPP or meetings on wearside etc. And nothing transpired. But because we’ve been linked with a french kid then that means they were right all along despite nothing been heard about the french kid till recently

This french kid has only came on the scene the last month or so. And there’s still a long long way to go Even if he’s still interested with due diligence etc

I’m not getting into an argument. I’m not falling out with anyone. People can have hope but it’s been false hope, every Friday for the last 4 months

The 3 stooges want their cake and eat it. They’ve all ready had Cowley turn them down for the job due to the DoF model. They jumped the gun with Poyet by realising info to ‘fans’, same as the takeover being done last week to RR

I hope we get Johnson across the line, but the problem is he has to speak to the club, and that’s Where managers/players can see what a **** show we really are and run a mile

I think this is what’s happening with the french kid and his advisors unfortunately

He’s definitely interested, but not with the current regimes plans

Enjoy the game
