Very meh appointment on its own but as part of the evident restructuring of club and changing philosophy has some potential. In honesty he wouldn’t be in my first ten realistic (ish) choices but he does appear to address many of our criticisms of Parkinson so I’ll give him the benefit of doubt.

Of course, he’s talking a good game already so hopefully he can deliver it, as for the manger it’s yet another huge missed opportunity, the familiar win rate to Parky and oppo fans wanting rid.

After the initial meh moment of underwhelming I went off to sus his record and thought solid appointment to build and improve.

Now, after watching this I'm warming to him a bit.

So who would you have appointed then, Sol Campbell?
We're in League 1 ffs, we havent exactly got a flock of top managers wanting to come and put their reputations at stake by coming to us have we!
Pearson hasnt even come out and said he wanted the job. Who else was there that would have put a smile on your miserable, sad negative face?
