Bridcutt was outstanding on his debut against the mags. I thought we'd got an absolute bargain but he flattered to deceive after that.

Think he did play at a higher level than us after he left, or a better side at any rate, so there might have been some truth in it.

It is understood that after months of due diligence and negotiations, the consortium made an offer two weeks ago to Donald which was accepted at the beginning of this week. Sources close to the deal expect it to be completed in the next fortnight.

That was from The Guardian article on 13th November so if they are correct, it should be getting finalised sometime very soon.

The guardian article wasn't plucked out of thin air, either the sellers or the buyers or both in agreement released the info.

Therefore it stands to reason the 2 weeks is a provided timescale.

So it should be accurate.

I do agree, However the counter argument to that is that pretty much every timescale we've heard has been a "provided timescale" leaked by one of the parties, and its slipped. So people are understandably nervous about that. I'm still very optimistic, just starting to get restless again - but that's just me. :D

No idea where this negativity have come from. I am very very confident this will conclude soon and significant change will be implemented.
Will the Sporting Director be announced the day it gets announced in a big swoop or over the proceeding weeks do you think?

don't think its negativity my man, just understandable nervousness. when there's a few different sources saying very slightly different things it's bound to cause a bit of uncertainty, even if the broad overall message is it's happening.

Personally I'd like to see another news leak soon to allay fears again.

I believe they probably want to do both at the same time mate, and that's likely the reason for the slight delay in announcing the takeover. Think it was said that they originally had 4 candidates. That was whittled down to 2. These would possibly need to be interviewed and terms agreed with their preferred choice. In these times, it's possible that one of the candidates has been self-isolating. The whole world is upside down at the minute and delays are much more likely.

I still think I'd rather they just announced takeover first to set everyone at ease then the DoF, manager or whatever later in stages.
That way we also get exciting new developments every few days. That would be fun.

I guess its whether you want the full bag of sweets in one go but you will have to wait 2 or 3 weeks or if you want 4 sweets every night for 3 week.

I want some sweets now. :emoticon-0121-angry
