@Gordon Armstrong might know, has to be a decade or more mate.
Jan 2011 we joined Not606, I was on 606 for about a year or two before that and I remember Smug In Antibes then. It's mainly a very good crowd, you get the odd pillock every once in a while. The first of those I recall was 'Big Chris' what a whopper he was...

Doubt they’d change the domain name. They’ve used SAFC.com for donkeys years.

might not actually be that all. The time frame is about the same as stuff I’ve done in the past.

would be cool if they are going with an upgraded site. Tying it in with an announcement of a takeover would be decent as well. New site new owners new dawn kind of thing.

perfect time to re launch SAFC.com
So no redbullsafc then? :-)

Just sat here in the Continental thinking a few things over on where our potential new owner differs from other clubs owners with quite a few quid in the bank.

Most, not all, but most "rich" clubs have owners where football is second to them and their personal or family business. We are on the cusp of having a 22 year old reportedly football daft Billionaire as a majority shareholder, so I ask, you're 22, with 2 Billion in the bank and you've just bought marjory shares in a ready made premier league outfit football club. You don't need to build and new Stadium, you have a fanbase in place and a budget most Championship clubs would be envious of...... ok I was being fictitious with that last bit, how far would you go with your real life FIFA?

@Peterleeyacker is right with what he said about players being played out of position making a difference to a team's perfomance though and that has nowt to with basics. It's about knowing how to play your position correctly at different stages of the game and that isn't something you learn after a game or two.

If I'm a right back and asked to play in midfield; I should be able to control and then pass the ball to my own teammates. Pretty simple.

Even when played in their "correct positions" they still make the same mistakes.

Now... put 11 players on the pitch who can control the ball, pass to their own teammates, then play them in their "correct/favoured" positions, well, your on to a winner.

I'm not having formations or positions as the reason this lot are so ****e

Nee offence @Sandy Camel

Are you still in the dark,Sir? Contacts I mean.

I don't get anywhere near as much info as last year, for various reasons, but what I do get is quite accurate. The last I heard is that 'FPP' aren't out of the picture.

Sadly I'm not in a position to badger people for info so just listen to what they say.

I do have a very good friend, who knows the Dreyfus family of old so I'm gently edging towards asking for info.

I'm also cultivating contact with L'Equipe who I'm hoping will drop me the odd bits of info in the future.

Fingers crossed mate.

aren’t they spending a few quid rejuvenating all the digital media stuff?

I agree with what you're saying mate. however when I said for him to do all of the above, even if the players don't listen, at least it would look like he had a clue and gave a ****. Not in the same leauge actual and figurative, but Klopp isn't frightened to loose his rag on the touchline.

Yeah I understand that and watching his body language speaks volumes

TBH mate, a lot has just been lucky coincidences.

The fella who knows the Dreyfus family is an ex-boss we keep in touch with.
(Invited him for Christmas today.)

He has a huge pharmaceutical research company and, by coincidence, Robert Louis-Dreyfus was at a huge one in the States.

That was years ago, and nowt to do with football, but it's come back round after all this time.

No good having friends if you can't use them mate.

You mean a formation like 442 with two wingers and two strikers that clubs have been entertaining fans with for about 150 years

442 :emoticon-0102-bigsm. In my opinion, it's great against another 442 (unless you have an exceptional centre-mid pairing), if not its a bit of struggle.

I loved the days of "inside and outside rights", proper attacking stuff.

Have a look at this, not a midfield or formation anywhere (just spotted Red Bull - Not ITK)

If and it's a big if while we're in league one I fully expect our current owners and I mean the new lads to either fund it themselves or bring even more peers onboard, there more than sartori and kyril going to be behind this, at this point I feel there's a dark room in the back of the pub that has a doorman and there's some next level individuals sitting and watching to see how the new barman does.

I saw something about that a few weeks ago. Could well be as part of that they are moving the website to a new provider. This would be the upgrades they talk about as moving from one to
another usually can take 24-48 hours for the internet name servers to catch up.

He's a very good friend and a fascinating man, probably the most intelligent person I've ever met.

Here's a true story for anyone interested. We were in his office at Ffynone Mansion and checking the insurances on the house. I mentioned how important the fire insurance was especially as he has thousands of books. He said it wasn't because he had them all memorised and could replace them.

I laughed and scoffed a bit so he said he'd prove it. He turned his back on the bookshelves, told me to remove any book and he'd know which it was, the publisher and how many pages to within 20 pages ...

... I removed a book and when he turned round he told me the book, the publisher, the date and got the number of pages exact!

A truly remarkable man.
