All I’ve really been told mate , is 3 new people, I don’t think you could class sartori a new person,
Like I posted over the road last night it’s as tough as it’s ever been for me
You must log in or register to see images
You honestly wouldn’t believe how difficult it is at the moment for me. But we will go again!I know and I/we will. But it’s tough at the minute isn’t it
Do you think we'll find out a few more names soon?Contract is agreed (hundreds of pages of legal text need final review and signature) then complete EFL checks and documentation. More weeks than days.
I don't know if there is or not...fingers crossed we hear clarification of the structure of the people or consortium when the deal is signed.Do you think we'll find out a few more names soon?
We will it’s what we do xxYou honestly wouldn’t believe how difficult it is at the moment for me. But we will go again!
It’ll always be there, however much we want to detach, the sods will always drag us back. And actually we wouldn’t have it any other way. Nor would the people who conned us into supporting us (in my case, and probably similar for so many, me dad) have it any other way.You / all of our love for this football club is still their, its just a relationship that going through a very very bad patch, once this takeover goes through we will all be itching to get the relationship back on track & go on some proper dates (games) we can enjoy.
the **** (i know you have been through morel oosing you dad) we have been through in tgis relationship since BSA departed has been unreal....hopefully it is about to turn the corner & we can all reginite that spark that makes us love this club
Imagine the takeover goes through, theres a plan, we get a new positive manager & have a positive January....tell me your love wont be as atrong?
Bets on numbers or our first home attendance?
hopefully this is all around the corner
Juninho left at the end of the 1997 season so he could secure a place in the 1998 Brazil World Cup squad (missed the world Cup due to injury), but was heartbroken when they were relegated in 1997 and did come back on loan then permanently a few years later. Emerson played in the championship for a few months after they went down, but refused to come back after having a break in Brazil and forced a transfer to Tenerife in January 1998, and Ravanelli got out as quick as he could and would have been away regardless if they'd stayed up or not as he slagged off pretty much everything about Boro while he was there. Out of those, only Juninho could be seen to have any affection for them and at least could be seen to have had a reasonable reason for leaving and would have stayed long term if they'd not gone down. Ravanelli was the highest paid player in England at the time, his agreement even meant that they paid his tax, national insurance, utility bills, council tax and so on.I don't know mate, I'm sure Juninho and Emerson stayed with them in the championship and helped them go straight back up? Can't be sure about others but I'm certain them 2 did.
All sounding positive.
Bizarrely though I think their biggest challenge will be getting us out of L1 with this stupid salary cap in place.
Did a week in Lugano for work. We flew into Milan then got the train to Lugano. Stunning train ride mind. Hell of a place. They had Ferrari dealership as I recall. They were doing a decent trade too.. r Tonna is a great bloke and very humble despite his wealth, you'd enjoy his company.
He asked us to go to work for him in Lugano but the flight situation, to the UK, put us off. What's it like there, where he lives is beautiful.
Just seen Johnson’s/The rat’s great insight on it. Desperate for it to fail. The amount of our "fans" on RTG who are desperate to pour as much negativity as they can on this news is unreal like.
Apparently its not a takeover. And SD and CM will be telling the multi billionaire how to run things and he will also allow that it appears
"There is no takeover"is now "its not a takeover and it will be ****" by the look of it
Won't be long til he personally attacks posters who disagree with him.Just seen Johnson’s/The rat’s great insight on it. Desperate for it to fail.

You are so so right Janey! Football isn't what it used to be (for loads of reasons) and I'm not liking some of the directions it's going in. BUT Sunderland AFC will always be a huge part of me. My kids will not escape this inherent passion either. I think I'd be neglecting my fatherly responsibilities if I 'let them off' with it. I pray they'll thank me for it one day. It’ll always be there, however much we want to detach, the sods will always drag us back. And actually we wouldn’t have it any other way. Nor would the people who conned us into supporting us (in my case, and probably similar for so many, me dad) have it any other way.
The buggers xx
Well that's done it, what's the point of going on, Covid take me now
People on RTG arguing that it's not really a takeover, the Chronicle saying it's not the right kind of takeover and the Echo quoting a list of doom mongers who were straight onto the internet casting doubts about every possible aspect of the deal.
"Here’s the best of the social media reaction," They proudly boast.
@parkersafc tweeted: “Have been openly vocal about my doubts about a takeover being close. If this comes off I'll happily hold my hands up and admit I was wrong. Not getting excited yet though. I made that mistake with FPP #safc”
@SpeakSAFC tweeted: “Thoughts? Donald not being the majority shareholder could be huge, but him still owning 15% of his shares and Methven 5% isn’t ideal #SAFC”
@LBarks72 tweeted: “It appears more of an investment than a takeover."
@MorganLowrie tweeted: “An inexperienced 22 year old with $2 billion pound burning a hole in his back pocket in charge of a business with multimillion £ commitments, with next to no income, in an uncertain environment, with Donald & Methven still involved. What could possibly go wrong?”
Over on our SAFC WhatsApp group, one fan simply said: “Heard it all before”
And another added: “I’d question Sartori’s motivation to buy the club, his involvement over the last 2 years has been minimal, what will change now! With Donald still being on board it sounds like it’s more like rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic rather than a takeover!”
If Dreyfus was told the Sunderland supporters were fanatical, loyal and enthusiastic I really hope they don't read any of this shyte ...
... I bet there's more optimism and humour in the obituary pages![]()
