See, I do think Donald is a bad guy. He’s lied pretty much constantly for 2.5 years about a variety of things. I can kind of accept bad decisions being made, people make mistakes and some are simply out of their depth but mean well. However, he’s made numerous things up about us as supporters. That’s not just being bad at his job, that’s trying to deflect his failings onto us.

Methven is even worse, he’s a slimy, arrogant ****er to boot. I wanted them both to leave the club having lost a fortune
Fair enough. Agree on Methven, he’s treated the fans with contempt and should go. Just think it’s a shame how it went with Donald. He was so far out of his depth that he ended up a villain. Don’t think it had to go that way but unfortunately it did.

Interestingly - Alan Nixon said months and months and months ago that the takeover was just going to Sartori and his mates taking more control with Methven and Donald less.

Everyone assumed Rybovolev. Perhaps Nixon was right all along. It's then semantics as to whether it's a takeover or not. I say it is
Could still be Rybovolev if it’s more than 1 new lad coming in like @Magnus has alluded to.

Just one more thing - this Guardian piece only says that 80% will be owned by the new consortium, 15% by Donald and 5% by Methven.

It doesn't say what the split in the new consortium is.

For all we know it's 50% Sartori ; 10% Louis Drefus ; 10% other person A ; 10% other person B.

So hopefully more is revealed soon...

I think most were sucked in by them both to start off with. As you say, it is a great shame how it’s ended. Had we got promoted 1st season and they sold us and made a tidy profit, fair enough. Thank you.

But what they’ve done is unforgivable. And then tried to blame certain parts on the supporters and made up ridiculous stories

@Prehab26 knew the identity of the potential new owners so now that this lad has been announced he might be able to tell us who the others are?

Either way I dont understand people being unhappy when this lad is a billionaire on his own, Sartori is almost, if not a billionaire and then there are others in the consortium who are probably super rich. This is great news and we only know part of the story!

Of course, let's see how it develops.

So we are gonna have links to Monaco and Marseille, we have a rich kid with £2bn in the bank, sartori FIL keeping his Beadie eye on things, a sky sports presenter and mlf at the club a ceo who seems ok, possible links to Uruguay, I couldn’t care less if trotter and salmon pants are clinging onto a potential windfall down the line, just get rid of Howard Wilkinson II
Very very well put young man!<cheers>

The piece does say that Kyril was approached to be the majority shareholder.
