This is why posters tend to be non receptive of what you have posted, how can you be 100%. As I recall prefab, smug or Magnus have not called it at 100% yet you come on and basically say this is what happening and that’s it. NQD tried the same
Still a 100% quote though surely.No. I said it was 100% not happening in the short term. I.e 3-4 months as hinted by prefab, smug, Magnus and you could even include NB’s into that.
It’s getting close to Oct when we should expect a update and we all know my views on what will be said. Seems like a lot of Those who were getting overly excited about why they heard about the take over being close are starting to post different views now
Very frustrating
OK, noted.wtf happened on the last page
@Wheatsheaf this forum is absolutely for posting and discussing Sunderland, and all viewpoints are accepted. But posting a single line of text without any context, is just asking for people to bite. You either know it is and want the bites, or you really need to start giving a bit more colour to your statements that are clearly going to be inflammatory during an intense period of rumour.
Not expecting to give away your source, or even how you got the info - but post statements as fact without any attempt at backing them up or even giving context is just asking for people to react badly.
OK, noted.

Not worth the paper it's written on if snidey Methven is a signatory of it.The letter somehow seems to lack importance with Robbie Savages signature on it for me!
How on god's earth is Charlie deemed as someone who is high-profile?Not worth the paper it's written on if snidey Methven is a signatory of it.
I agree he is a snidey prick and I want him out of SAFC at the earliest opportunity. However, he is clearly a huge football fan and if theirs one thing I took from STID 2 it's that he knew Ross was useless around the same time as the fans so maybe knows a little bit too. He's been an Oxford fan all his life and was involved in some capacity there as well, a club that has been circling the lower leagues for probably the majority of his life so he knows what it's like down there and how close these clubs are to going under at the best of times... Like I said, I don't like him but you don't have to like someone to maybe see that they could be good for the sport at this level in the current climate. And as for his motivations, they're probably geared as much if not more to not wanting to lose his beloved Oxford than to his 6% interest in Sunderland. I know that's how I'd be, money is only money, it comes and goes, SAFC on the other hand...Not worth the paper it's written on if snidey Methven is a signatory of it.

No concrete talks (if any) have been happening referring to takeover talks since the RAWA meeting or the NB’s tweet is what I’ve been told
The only ‘categorically’ thing I’ve said is we aren’t in advance talks with anyone...
No offence marra but I think your sole intention is to spam the board.
Plenty more like that. You make a statement then flim flam around. I've spotted it and so have loads others so when you get grief it's because of **** like this. Spam merchant, nowt more, nowt less.
Cage fighting on xbox one has raised his profile. How on god's earth is Charlie deemed as someone who is high-profile?
Mind, it's mental when Collins says "Yes it be would be nice if football could help itself, but it won't be able to do it". Wrong. It could do it, it just doesn't want to . The PFA have loads of funds (and clubs going bust affects them). The Premier league is ****ing loaded, they could easily bail the EFL out (whether they should is a different argument, but the money is certainly there to do it). It's not that they won't be able, they just don't want to. I'm not convinced the government should be getting involved tbh, there's other industries needing help that aren't taking loans then spending £200k a week or whatever on Gareth Bale
I think he needs to say something.
However if he's previously been given info, that he's passed on to the supporters, I don't think he should be pilloried.
I don't think some of the comments about him being 'taken for an idiot' by Donald are fair. Plus I don't believe the info came from Donald, Barnes has said he hopes he'll soon be gone. There's a lot of things being said, by lots of people, and Barnes is in a difficult position.
They'll have no choice if any number of clubs go into forced administration as mentioned in various news reports today.I don't think they can vote to end the season. Different when there was furlough to avoid wage payments, especially when many were going to be out of contract. As it stands they'll still need to honour contracts, they'll still have to pay the normal overheads. They'll basically have the same costs that they have now but they'd lose any TV money and any streaming money. I don't see how mothballing could make sense tbh
Do ytou think Methvens comments today about bail outs are significant as I.. bearing in mind he did resign as a directorI'd agree with all of that.
I would say, however, that I was saying Fuhrman was 'on the move' before Barnes spoke so my comments weren't just piggy-backing his as some like to claim. I was told Sartori was being considered as a partner for example. That may not work out but it's viable given his wealth and interest in football.
There's definitely something going on at the club and I believe Donald knows the game is up.
