Not really in my opinion. Do you really think that Nick Barnes is going to post what you state is nothing but a rumour started on social media or in a chat room website about a takeover, then go on local radio and a supporter podcast without there being any substance to it? It would be career suicide! I listened to the podcast and he said that he done his own due diligence on this and he is confident that something is happening. He also pointed out that he wouldn't set a deadline on when this would be completed because he couldn't guarantee it. I do agree with you when you state that Donald would cling on to the club just in case there's a chance of 1 big pay but IMO the decks stacked against him and if he doesn't get what he can now, he could lose a hell of a lot more hanging on.

NB’s hasn’t gone down this route because of social media posts he’s read. He’s fine this because I’m assuming his source comes from the top (SD). But as I’ve said I still wouldn’t believe a word of it. What DD can he do on his own? He spoke to a solicitor friend who said, I’m gathering in his opinion, that Covid could delay things... it was also the opinions on Twitter by some accounts that the accounts were denuded purely because of Covid, despite it transpiring they were signed off in Jan...

What DD could NB’s of done to confirm what he’s being told??? He doesn’t know who the ‘potential’ owners are, he’s just getting the info SD chooses to give him

so open to anyone, what DD could NB’s have done to back is source up???

I'm a little bit anxious about that because he doesn't mean that he's confirmed with the buyers (as he doesn't know who they are) and might not even have checked with anyone else at the club. The only checking he's confirmed is that, after being told its being delayed by Covid, he asked a lawyer who isn't in any way involved with the deal who simply confirmed that, yes, Covid could delay business deals. I hope his other checks have been more related to the specific of this deal and from people who would know.

Like I say I've heard plenty from people I trust who say things are progressing so I'm leaning towards something happening. I'm also sure that Barnes is confident it is. I just have an uneasy feeling that Barnes might not have the watertight source and confirmation that people think.

What NB’s says is fine, but until he states his source isn’t SD or one of his cronies, everyone will discredit him as they don’t trust SD. He’s a professional and I’m just a fan. He’s leading with this news (no one else is), he’s reporting the takeover in the media (no one else is).... so I hope for all of our sakes it comes to fruition. Barnes has said that he has checked and verified the information he has received is correct. Are you saying that he's bullshitting all of us as well?

Cm has no interest with the club and hasn’t returned, with his personal health he has a lot more on his plate, he wants out more then anyone

Do you know why he wants out? Could understand if he had a role that took a lot of his time up, but currently he's just a shareholder isn't he? Unless he needs the cash that would be unlocked by a sale I'm not sure why he'd be desperate to get out. If he's desperate to get out quickly it would explain a fair bit mind

All I know is he made some stupid comments at a fans talk in, then had to step down saying his partner was expecting, he was starting to do more work with Brexit and his PR company and couldn’t commit to Sunderland

basically excuses for what he said, or am I totally kidding the point?

He's called out on this regularly and still persists with his message, that his message is emphatic and everyone else is wrong. He was asked if he was in the club's employ to pass out a message and replied with "wow". Called out again and said he couldn't remember me calling him out and wouldn't look back to the exchange - even thought the "wow" remark is fairly memorable. If he's not a person in the company's employ he's an intelligent robot in their employ.

Like everyone on here they will share an opinion... that’s all I’m doing. My opinion is backed up from the fact there is no take over! I can’t give facts as Magnus % or time frames like Smug as there aren’t any to give, if nothing’s happening

And by nothing I mean a concrete plan to sell the club. Obviously there will always be talks, as they have been from the last 18 months, as SD gas wanted to sell and flip the club from day one, but they’ve lead to nothing... but something being passed to the EFL, I just don’t believe.

again you are picking and choosing what you want to hear/read.. there’s always ‘talks’ as the clubs been for sale since SD walked through the door. But a simple enquiry from some foreign business man compared to a deal being passed to the EFL are on very different parts of the scale
