There's talk of one but no evidence as far as I know.

This story about Donald turning down an approach, because he doesn't like Gray, doesn't wash tbh.

If people chose to believe that fair enough.
I don’t believe for a second that SD would turn down the chance of selling the albatross around his neck because he dislikes Mickey Gray.

I didn’t think there were any regular repayments on the loan?

Unless of course FPP reserved the right to recall it at, say, 28 days notice. Donald couldn’t afford to repay and hence having to sell.

Would tally with all the rumours and the certainty with which the likes of Barnesy suggested “by end August” a couple of weeks back.
The price comes down dramatically with sartori staying and you factor in the loan from FPP

I’m sure he tried however nothing came to fruition as far as I am aware.

But, and we have to be realistic, we have ZERO evidence that there’s anything going on and we are all getting moister than an oyster.

We do need to reign it in a bit. We’ve cross referenced the 2 busiest forums for the lads and come up with 2 billionaires. We’ve actually set ourselves up if it is a crock.

Ae all want it to happen, and there’s a LOT of smoke, but we have generated probably 80% of that smoke ourselves out of our desperation for the club to bounce back.
I’ve generated 0% mate but I would like it to happen <ok>

Hope so. On another note, if all this happens as you and Smug say, I’ll buy you both as much beer as you can drown in if you ever get over to WA.

Just to clarify mate.

There are lots of people saying things and, from my info, they align almost perfectly.

My only definite info is that Fuhrman's camp hasn't rejected the idea of working with other people including Sartori. They've also decided the club can't keep stagnating so need to make a move. Hopefully a takeover but, at worst, bringing in better people and investing.

Other than that I've been sent messages, from people with better contacts, with very encouraging info. I've been asked not to post any of it because it would compromise people or affect the process.

I've pm'd the info to one lad I know so there's a trace on the forum.

As I've said before I don't want to be right, couldn't care less ...

... if a better bid comes in, and proves me wrong, I'd be delighted.

However I don't believe that to be a possibility.

On the basis that certain parties have decided something has to change, I’m assuming what that change looks like may not be set in stone and we could be a while away from any news/update from the club?

As far as I can tell there is still zero evidence anything is imminent other than the fact there was seemingly progress yesterday.

We all appreciate the info you and Magnus are giving out. We also appreciate that neither of you can or would want to betray any confidences.
We are all supporters at the end of the day and being biased we can all see the massive potential of SAFC.

As with any contract, anything from a house purchase to a marriage, nothing is imminent until the pen touches the paper ...

... that shouldn't prevent anyone from talking about it and getting excited.

oh completely agree, and that’s why I’m here! I just wanted to temper the excitement for people who, like me, are refreshing everything by the minute waiting to an update. The last thing we want is people getting outraged if nothing happens today for example.

The name Gary Monk seemed to be floating about over the road late last night. Or I may gave dreamed it! <confused>
I'm not sure a change of manager would be a good thing right now, or that Monk is any better than PP.
Anyway, I'm off to collect Cash Injection this morning, the new greyhound. Let's hope it's not the only cash injection, eh?

Still no leaks about what may be going on in newspapers or Sky etc..

Being small minnows now may be the reason?

No news is good news for me, just wonder what timescales these people are working too given the season is approaching fast, majority of club staff still on furlough until the end of the month so the sooner the better

I see one of those pessimists who can"t admit they're a pessimist so say they're a realist has joined in, manoeuvering ready to say "I told you so" if things go tits up.

Now at work, limited data, no wifi, bugger!

If you’re referring to me, then you’re wrong. I normally see the positives in things, just think a few people are getting carried away, the press have picked up on it and now the things discussed on here are pretty much all over social media. Just think it doesn’t help matters. I’ve already said wait to see what happens, but don’t get your hopes up that’s all I’m saying
