After seeing your post I went for a look and noticed a thread about 'Van Dink' as the OP spelled it.

The post was simply informative but the sniping started immediately, he was insulted, posts were deleted and he reported the abuse. He's saying the Mods response was so poor he's not posting.

WTF happened to that forum ...

... the people who dominate is seem not to care that they're destroying it.

First thing insaid to the Mrs when I heard the advert on the radio was "he would never wear Sketchers the lying ba$%@rd."

There is no credibility to them adverts is there? They really quite unfashionable footwear so it's unlikely that celebrities can't get enough, their tailored shoes from saville row got a bit boring did they?

    Anyway back on topic, sorry.

If Rednapp has been looking for a L1 or L2 clubs then there's a reason.

Its a way of being involved in football but with less stress while not blowing all of his and Sandra's retirement pot. Plus he's not going to move north at his age after all those years down south.

So put some sketchy data points together I doubt he is involved

I know Brian Marwood too , but for an insurance man, Berb will have plenty of contacts.. whether they are customers, mates, best mates or best'est mates is another matter.

I think now would a great time buy a lower league club..with certain caveats. How financially viable is that club? what size fan base ? what the realistic chances of progression ? with these in mind about 2 or 3 clubs would jump out. Ipswich....Pompey and us. If there is a speculative buyer out there with very deep pockets and some decent connections, then Sunderland would tick most boxes. From the rumour mill it seems our American friends are still in the mix and Storey's name refuses to go away, I wouldn't bet against someone else throwing their hat in. To pick our club up for about 30m and gamble on promotion would give a healthy profit, to go all the way to the Premier you would be talking a serious return on investment... life's a gamble, let's see who fancies it.

I've only been on here for a few weeks and the difference is unbelievable.
You can tell yourself, magnus prehab26 and a couple of others are getting genuine info that you pass on in good faith.
People on here appreciate it and take it for what it is, while SD is at this club things will change on a daily basis.
The problem across there is they take it as a reason to call you all liars which boils my piss.
One of the reasons I moved across was prehab26 had been so informative, had loads of **** to deal with in his personal life and he still managed to post updates and got grief for it, so when he moved I just followed and really pleased I did.
There is a lad that still posts over there that gets info who I've been pm for a few weeks, I think hes come to trust me and has proved time and again in pms that he's getting genuine info.
Obviously he can't put this stuff on the main board and because of this gats called a liar.
I will always be grateful for the snippets of info, I actually posted across there what I thought was happing with the takeover from what I'd read between the lines on here.
Someone accused of repeating what I'd been told in a pm because they have contacts at the club and I was very close to what was happening.
So I think that proves what you, magnus , prehab26, wheatsheaf are spot on.
    Keep up the good work

Over here is like a different world. It's always been like it over there, but has got a lot worse recently. I joined over there about 12 years ago. New member, and I live 200 miles away from the ground. I asked a simple question of, as I don't get to chat down the pub or have lots of mates who are lads fans, other than rtg where can I get info on what's going on, as I felt I was missing out.

I got loads of abuse and accused of being a s**t fan. Never posted a few responses, but then couldn't be done with the hassle. Never posted again, just lurked, till I found this place.

It just feels like people look to disagree with everyone, and God help you if you have a different opinion.
I'm a firm believer that your opinion cant be wrong as it is yours and its what you believe, yes other people may have a different opinion, doesn't mean yours can't be different.
I'm going to carry on having conversations with decent people on here, the odd time I may look back over there when I need a laugh

Baffles the **** out of me over there, the wums stand out a mile but those with a bit of info are desperately hoyed into the wum pile by some posters.
I’m not sure what it is, jealousy or what, either way I struggle with how people can’t just make minds up from posting history of those with some info.

We're the biggest catch outside the PL by a million miles. There's a reason weve not been sold yet...SD.

As much as it pains me to say it he will know VERY useful people. Money people and football people. If he wants to hang out of his Range Rover window spouting cockney slang at reporters about how he’s fond of certain players that’s ok by me. Just so long as it’s a DoF role and nowt else.

Maybe it’s me but I’m frankly embarrassed that our club has been reduced to this. That we are being talked about as a lower league project for someone. SD you and your mates have disgraced SAFC and everything that it used to be. You ****ing well disgust me.

  20. Well,I think you have to be a bit circumspect here mate. The reason we are being talked about as a lower league project is because we have the potential to become a higher league project very quickly, and with the corresponding financial allure.
There isn't another club in the land with our potential.....from where we are now,in our current circumstances.
We are,not rock bottom, but somewhere in a dark place. But,we have everything in place to escape from the depths.
A 48000 seater stadium, bought and paid for, ready and waiting. 48000 people, who will need very little invitation to turn up and fill it to the rafters with the noise for which we are famous, not to mention the spending power that accompanies such a turnout. A category 1 Academy and facilities some other clubs can only dream of.
A properly thought out, long term plan, instituted by intelligent, football savvy,well-funded individuals could take this club to the very top for a fraction of what it would cost anywhere else. We've been through the pain, time for someone to realise the potential and take us to the gain.
From where we are now, free of lots of big money contracts to moody, arrogant players, costs cut to the bare minimum, surely gives us a chance to build from here,.....intelligently,wisely,everybody on the same page, with a commonly shared time frame for success........'tis my dream.....I don't have the wherewithall, but there must be someone out there who does!
    Can't wait!!
