I got a message last night was unsure to post it but, a little snippet from it

The only thing left to do is to sort out if Donald will be left with anything
.everything else is sorted and done

take it with a pinch of salt,
Don’t believe it , believe it, it’s all up to youse
I’ve had a wonderful sesion in my local .
It’s been so nice to have real beer in the vcompny aof lovely friends.
I believe this with every fibre of my being.
I thank you.

The thing about any profit though is that you can only really expect one if you meet one of two conditions.

Either you buy, and then significantly improve the asset you have bought by good management and wise investment. Here Donald has decimated the roots of the club. Massive damage to the academy, a much reduced squad strength and his investment approach has been chaotic and largely ineffective.

Or, you get lucky. You buy low and sell high because you have been able to buy in a buyer's market and sell in a seller's one. No luck to be had here to rescue him from the failures of his tenure. He wants to sell, so he says, and if so it is a matket profoundly in any buyer's favour.

It looks like his ego might take him down, and possibly us with it.
Fair enough mate.

Like I say Im of the opinion that I don't begrudge them a little profit given the time they put in particularly in the early days and the mess they encounted with players contracts etc. However, any profit should be related to what actually monies they have put in and not the £37m figure which covers parachute payments and Mr Short's generosity etc etc.

SD and CM need to be realistic and sensible particularly in the current climate for the good of themselves not to mention the Club and the fans. If they think things are bad now if another takeover/investment falls through it is going to get toxic.

For the good of everybody and most importantly the Club the ownership needs sorting now so we can galvinise and get out of this division. Another season in Div 3 for SAFC does not bare thinking about.

I can see Donald wanting to keep some kind of stake in the club to make sure he gets more money if we get back to the premier

Agree with much of that but the squad is healthier now. When he took over it was old, bloated and massively expensive. He's done some decent work. I'm upset about the academy, but not much else. Used to look at our bench with Watmore, Oviedo, Grigg and wonder how we weren't running away with the league.

Aye. Something in that mind. Let's hope we get started under a new owner sooner rather than later though, as we all want. We seem to be making better decisions lately, so maybe another hand is on the tiller. But, man, do we need a bloody forward!

If Furhrman leaving Donald with say 10% is what it takes to get it done I’d be satisfied enough with that as long as he’s simply a sleeping shareholder

Agreed. I understand people wanting him gone, in an ideal world I'd want that as well. Ultimately though my main concern is seeing Sunderland have a chance again. If him keeping a small share holding helps the club get taken over by serious people who can help us progress and who have a plan to take us back to the top flight then, as long as he has **** all say in the running of the club, I don't really care.

Problem with that is these are serious businessmen who will be telling him that if he holds 10 per cent then he must keep up with 10 per cent share of investment which is only fair my guess is he wants to freeload and not put his fair share in but still try and reap the rewards

It would not surprise me that one of the biggest hold-ups now is a contingency payment for SD - for example if we go up this season he gets £x if we get to the premiership within a time frame he gets another payout and at the same he is wanting to keep some shares as well.
Don’t be surprised to see everyone involved currently still involved to a greater or lesser extent.
