Does anyone know if this means he has to sell his remaining shares? Or would that only be the case if Eastleigh got to the EFL?

Think that as he holds less than 10% of our club he's ok

This might not be a popular view but good for him. Back where he belongs where he’s not massively out of his depth.

Understand the sentiment, but I can’t stand the bloke. He’s a bare faced liar. Yes, he was out of his depth here, but he let it spiral to the point where it was out of control. Replying to fans on Twitter, making false accusations against our supporters. Sooner he’s completely gone, the better

Oh I agree. I just don’t care enough to have any feelings towards him. Way too many people in the world that deserve my hatred for current reasons to worry about past ****ers :D

I am so glad in our ownership

New Coventry owner is “cashing in” on the “success” they’ve had this season by DOUBLING season ticket prices for next season. And if you want to pay an extra £100, that price gets frozen for 5 years and you get an extra year if the club get promoted to the Premier League.

An absolute disgusting shambles of a ****show.

The owners clearly won’t be here long term so are using the new optimism in the fan base to cash in on season tickets this year

I think the Will Grigg gamble backfired so spectacularly it destabilised both Donald and consequently Methven. They both love football that's obvious, so let bygones be bygones and wish them well, and thus be deserving of the current ownership, which is by far the best in my lifetime. OaU

    Donald gambled on 2 things:

    1. He believed Maja would stay, right up to the last minute then panicked and paid way, way over the odds for a player who didn't want to be here. It left the club with no money to spend
    2. He believed promotion was guaranteed in the 1st season and intended to sell up with a tidy profit. When neither happened it sent us into a financial tailspin where he started selling off anyone he could to pay the bills

Fit and proper owners test my arse

Good analysis TC, but how do you judge a fit and proper owner, and if they brought success would you care, judging on attendances alone, not many do..

Yeah, that's a really fair point as 99% of supporter opinion/analysis is through the benefit of hindsight,
I think the finances in football have to be more regulated or scrutinized - almost to the point where the F&P Owners test is renewed every 5 years at which point you have to show proof of finance to run the club for the next 5 years - even if it means you used guaranteed income (tv money/parachute payments/season card sales) as part of your projections, but then that money is locked in (or even held in an EFL account) so it can't be used for anything else

None of that guarantees that the owners will act in the right manner, but this simple test of "prove you have some money" is utter bollocks as I'm sure Wigan, Bury, Bolton, Blackpool, Coventry and Reading fans (to name but a few) would agree with

I think Maja was very underhand in this all. There is that interview, think its a clip from till I die, where he is asked about the interest in him and he tries to say he has no idea about it but you can tell there is more to it.

Donald said a lot at the time which with his record we can take with a pinch of salt but didn't Jack Ross say he told him he was signing the new contract offer?

I can't blame Maja going for more money, I don't even blame Donald and Co that we got in tot the situation we were with him. In hindsight he should have been offered a years extension on slight increase as soon as he was in the first team as he probably would have been happy just to get a contract and be playing. Once he attracted suitors we had no chance and he was already nearly put of contract when Donald and Co arrived. I wonder if his career would have developed any better if he stayed? How would he do in the current team?
