I was told in December that he'd line up his entire staff before he made it all official. I thought that was a bit far fetched but who knows. If there is someone else to come it must be significant to cause a delay.

Or it could be the EFL of course ...

... if so then KLD is surely shaking hands, in front of the TV cameras, for one of two reasons.

A) To reassure the supporters that it's done.
B) To show the EFL up as a bunch of mugs.
The EFL have screwed us royally IMO. The delay until after the transfer window closes to the wage cap announcement and trying to drag this out as long as possible. Wonder if they’ve ratified any other takeovers wpquicjer during COVID? My guess would be yes.

although there have been rumours doing the rounds (might be on here actually) that their issue is with Donald etc keeping a small stake in the club. Something along the lines of them not being able to just be in it on the chance they can make money and investment is required from them.

The entire suggestion is ludicrous mate.

"If the existing raggy arsed owners are unwilling to commit to funding the club ...

... we'll refuse the takeover and insist that they commit to funding the club."

Does it get any stupider <doh>

Not even sure it needs any formal announcement really, though I'm sure there will be one, if only for the media element to it all.

Pretty clear who is in charge now.

And I for one, don't underestimate the magnitude of this. A rich bloke with connections and knowledge . With youth, energy and drive, buys a provincial club in the far North, in League One and not even at the top of it, in the middle of horrendous worldwide business conditions, and a club which has been hollowed out by incompetents.

When you look around the football world, including the two leagues above us, there are a lot of clubs walking on the edge of a razor blade and would be very happy indeed with a takeover of this type.

Hard to see a downside to any of this. Welcome aboard to my favourite Frenchman!

Good post. Haway!!

I think if we are awaiting the EFL, unlikely they'd be working full tilt on a weekend. I think Mon Fri more realistic

Getting the feeling there’s more than just KLD involved. Probably wrong but I think he’s got the backing of his family as well. Basing that on Donald’s comments about him meeting KLD and his family. Mind you Donald us known to bullshit.
Sure Magnus said his family would be involved in some capacity a while ago.
