They came, they saw and were conkered ...

... this place will always settle down despite any smart arse troublemakers.

RTG will just go further and further down as the balance changes and the lunatics end up running the asylum.

The Mods, over there, are as weak as piss tbh.

So does that mean all your clones have disappeared? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

For the moment mate.

I'll never be free of stalkers because they're basically thick.

Most people realise I post in a particularly bombastic style to encourage debate, enthuse people and draw out honest opinions.

But the internet warriors think I'm being arrogant, attention seeking and superior.

I'm just another daft bloke talking about the club, and supporters, he loves.

No,nor did I. I loved him going past the full back into the Fulwell wing corner and crossing it in. He was magic. Also...he took the corners from that side, often aiming for the head of King Charles! Many's the time the ball was met by him hurtling in and ending up in the Fulwell net. Cue massive euphoria, crowd swaying, noise beyond noise...great days!! It's those memories that keeps us in the faith, and we're so lucky to have them.

How good it would be for the current generation to have such good memories. Even though we were predominantly a 2nd division (Championship in today's speak) side, it was a wonderful journey and it's what cemented my passion for this club.

Loved the swaying it was mental no youngans will ever know what that was like.

I've tried to describe it to my Grandkids, but they don't really get it,because it's an alien concept to them now in all seater stadiums.
Seeing the crowd sway back and forth and the kids being passed overhead down to the front to keep them safe......it's beyond comprehension in the modern day.
It harks back to a time when good, working class people took care of their own...Hillsborough changed all that of course, and it was lost forever.

Couldn't agree more mate.

Absolutely.

I became a Sunderland fan because of a visit to roker park during the Peter Reid era before promotion. it was electric. I can remember thinking "wow imagine if this was in the premier" And then it was.

I want my daughters to think the same in a few years when I get to take them. They're 5 and 3 and hate football so we have a while to get our **** together first

All seems to have gone quiet after a bit of mania.

When I say gone quiet, I mean gone quiet for a few hours. Anything could happen later.
