I don't mind what the result or even the performance is like tonight, it's all about the bigger picture. Would be great if we win and play well, but it pales in comparison to what's about to happen. Onwards and upwards.
I had no idea why folk where taking the idea that Rodwell or Methven would be making the decisions for new staff seriously tbh. We've had important vacancies unfilled for a while now so I've always had the sneaky that some of them wouldn't get filled until we were taken over and it would be the new overlords making those decisions. I'm just glad it looks likely we're getting someone like Gus in, outstanding appointment at this level.
Its a national holiday here in the UAE so I played golf with some blokes all are Sunderland fans. For a full 18 holes and the bar afterwards the talk ( for the first times in years) was positive. Suddenly it feels good to be a Sunderland fan again.
I'm so on the Gus Bus today that I forgot there was a takeover to announce. The club should just drop that now whilst we are waiting for Gus news
ii'm thinking he is probably going through the scarf above the head photographing and will probably be announced tea time ish
These two appointments also prove that SD and CM are in no way "calling the shots" or making "key decisions still" As if them two would have the ambition to pull these two names off
