Doesn't add up for me.

I don't buy it personally.

I'm going out on a limb here, just my opinion and idea, but I don't think he wants more to do WITHIN the club, but more something to do that the profile of being involved with the club can give him. He's been a bit involved with football finances talk recently, testified at a Parliamentary committee a few months ago. What if it's that that he's after? Getting involved with an EFL/FA/Government task force about football funding. Being involved with a club of our size would carry a large enough profile to make him seem influential in a way being involved with say Accrington wouldn't. It would fit in with his ego and give him an outer for when he's eventually pushed out from us, getting a seat on the EFL board . You only need to look at Rick Parry to see how it could work.

No I get what's in it for him. I just don't see the relationship between him and the fans as tenable and I would imagine he is fully aware of that.

Whilst I hate CM and want him out, I have to be honest as I can here. CM has been canny instrumental in helping out this deal together. He will still have a role. And if people want to completely get rid of him, I am not even sure this deal would have gotten of the ground.
