I'd like to see someone new, preferably currently employed in Europe, with an existing staff, who needs an interpreter.

I'd like all tracesof the past lethargy/holiday camp/rest home clinically exterminated.

Di Canio asked the existing outfit to ear/train/sleep/act like dedicated professional athletes ...

... and that's where he went wrong.
For me there is only one of our previous managers I would like to see back , that's Big Sam so that won't happen. Poyet and Coleman did nothing of note after they left us, the only really good stuff on Coleman's record was with Wales and he had Bale.
I have the misfortune of living in Coventry, when we appointed Coleman my mates down here said god help you , he's ****.
As usual this only my opinion.

Most of it. Some of it is wildly different. That is what always made my question him I guess.

So it would be reasonable to suppose he gets some info which is accurate, and then makes some of his own assumptions based on that info.,which may or may not be accurate?

Once it all goes through, if Methven is still here in whatever capacity, he needs to be told he's not the mouthpiece for the club and all communications have to go through the official media/PR channels. For that purpose, the club needs to appoint or align itself with a reputable media outlet that will run all official communications and it won't be anything to do with Methven's current media/PR business. We need to be run more professionally and whilst we want to retain a closer engagement with the club and the fans groups, it needs to be done in a way that doesn't end up with podcasts full of contradictions and meetings where accusations are levelled at supporters etc etc.

The waiting goes on and on. I just want it over.
As far as managers go, I’ve always had a sneaking admiration for Pearson.
A massive club in division 3 needs a big personality. Even if he is a nutter.
We’ve had little grey men, one after another,
Coleman had a bigger personality, but I never rated him as a manager.
I hope the delay is in lining up the new boss for Christmas.

how can someone who owns the least shares have a voice on any matters especially after his attitude towards the fans

Shareholders don't automatically have voices.

Even if Methven managed to convince the new people it wouldn't last long, he'd soon rub them up the wrong way.

Realistically his one applaudable action was getting the Boxing Day crowd in with his patter. As he's now generally despised, and not welcome in the NE, I doubt that could ever happen again.

So why would we choose to give any meaningful role to a Southern based pariah, with health issues, who is persona non grata ...

... especially as the new owners are likely to be based away from the NE.

FPP wanted a basic staff of local people who can help attract finance/sponsorship/support.

Methven is a virtual noboby in the UK and a total nobody internationally.

Can't believe Poyet is getting a mention to take the helm post takeover.

I was at the Villa game at home when we were getting tanked by an awful team before half time. Think it might have been 0-3 before the break. It was the worst football i have ever seen. Utterly devoid of ambition. Just passing the ball around at the back, losing it, panicking, conceding. Rinse and repeat.

He was a dreadful manager for us.

And if he can't get premier league players playing tika taka masala football... what hope does he have with league one journeymen.

Mortifying.

I'd sooner have Steve "1 in goal, 10 in defence at lower league Brighton" Bruce back.

I agree, I think Gus during the last 4-5 months of his time with us served up some dreadful performances. Like a lot of managers (including Parky) he only has a plan A and nothing else. There is nothing wrong with playing the ball around the back, but you play it with pace and purpose. We didn't do that.

I remember shouting at the tele during the Bradford City FA Cup match when he was laughing and joking on the sidelines as we were being outplayed and losing. I'd be very reluctant to have him back.

So there’s no way back for Methven for ya.

What would you say if the new owners took over and said Methven had a new role would say sort of marketing.

As it sounds from Hawayett like he will have a voice at least.

Don't forget, this man has caused untold damage between himself and SAFC supporters. He'd have to be the worlds best at marketing for any SAFC fan to buy into anything that fella is behind.

I am definitely leaning towards Pearson with Shakespeare and Phillips as backroom staff.
