Now hopefully someone you understand what I meant when I called the club a circus a couple of weeks back?

On the positive side if he liked what he saw at Norwich then it might oil the wheels for an Everton player or 2 to come here on loan. Do they have any spare attacking midfielders or a CB that we'd be interested in ? If he was going anywhere other than Everton then I'd be concerned. Can't see any point in us being difficult about him going and can only see positives in us being reasonable about it.

He's off to a side that finished fifth last season. A club where he played well over 200 games, as well as managing. His native Merseyside.

It's disappointing, but is it really hard to fathom? I can't see where the club can really have done anything about this.

Seems to me that some people will find anything to get depressed about, and we haven't even started the season yet!

Thing is GM, we fell in that trap thinking money is the be all and end all, players with no passion and are just in it for the money will not get you out of the championship period, you need players with quality yes, but more importantly the work ethic and passion to do something for the club.

And that is very fair comment Guru. PL was terrific in getting the work ethic from a modest group of players. CH injected the quality but it is very hard to combine the two. It seems that the players who think they are top quality think they don't have to put a shift in.

Though disappointing, I can understand Royle returning to Everton. Now that the management team is complete the whole situation seems more solid. If Adams does want another consultant, there are others out there like Dave Stringer or Chris Sutton, to name but two.

I can't see how the your club can be held responsible for this? I'm not disagreeing that your club is a circus, (you would know that better than I), just that this doesn't contribute to it.

Stringer or Sutton? Stringer has been retired over ten years and Sutton has managed Lincoln for a season (maybe a season and a half). Hardly in a position to be advising anyone.

I'm worried that a manager who was deemed novice enough to require an advisor, or consultant, whatever you want to call it, no longer has his advisor.

They were just ideas off the top of my head, Gruffnuts, but the consultant role is very different from an active management role. The qualities are knowledge of the game, tactics, and such so as to act as an advisor.

Do you think Hoddle would take such a role?

The whole set up is amateurish the football technical board, why does a manager need a consultant? Surely he should be confident enough in his abilities? I wasn't happy with Neil Adam's appointment in the first place and I'm furious they didn't hire someone with enough experience, however there is always a possibility it might work well and as fan's we're going to have to get on with it.

Lowestoft shifted from South to North division, massively increasing travel times/costs for games.
