Wish him well. I think we should have stuck with him a bit longer, personally. Took Fergie a while to bed in with all of Man Utd's resources. Who the **** will we get in now?
Ope. Completely ruled it out this morning on the radioCome back Big Sam. Alls forgiven
If there'd been no news about the takeover today I'd have said that sacking the manager at this point would mean the new guys were incoming and wanted their own man, as it is who knows.
Anyway I hope to buggery that all you lot who wanted Ross gone are proved right about him being the problem not the players.

Sacking Ross makes no sense if the takeover is off unless this is a move to appease the fans. Like I said on the other Ross thread, no manager is going to make any difference with the current squad.
We were playing turgid football but sky bring up an interesting stat that we have the third least number of defeats in all the leagues. Good manipulation of figures and dates that
Not disagreeing with you. This win ratio was quoted as 50% Over all games he’s managed. I honestly thought we’d lost more.More like manipulation to paint it as anything other than an impressive statistic.
Not sure if it's just last season or taking this into account too but it's a canny achievement especially considering under the three previous managers we loved nothing more than losing every game.

He literally said he would never come back!!! Donald on radio Newcastle now talking about things. Takeover is not off.We all know Big Sam cant resist a decent contract.
Throw unlimited Pie and peas and job will he a gud'n.
Hughton would be a great appointment, can't see him taking this on unfortunately.Oh well ...he´s gone. Right or wrong nobody will know.
I still believe he would have done a good job but that's just my opinion.
SKP or Hughton are the only two I can think of to replace.
Who would people prefer?
Stendel. Done it before with Barnsley, plays good football. Will need money to spend and a better scouting/recruitment set up to get anywhere though.Oh well ...he´s gone. Right or wrong nobody will know.

Don't want Phillips. It'll just spoil his legacy.
Pretty much. Like I've said in previous posts, I think we're missing key players in key positions and have too many players who are too similar. We're playing 4321 without a proper No. 10 in the squad. So the team's not good enough?
Thats my fear for Phillips - hell either come in and do a Roy Keane or flunk it. If he were appointed we would have to be extremely patient although Im sure he would get it right ...just how soonStendel. Done it before with Barnsley, plays good football.
