I'll second that. We need a bit more than a couple of months "New Manager Bounce" this time.
Sorry to see him go in some respects but for whatever reason this season has stalled very badly in the past six weeks and whoever we get to replace him I just hope we get the bounce we desperately need.

He literally said he would never come back!!! Donald on radio Newcastle now talking about things. Takeover is not off.
Hughton would be a great appointment, can't see him taking this on unfortunately.
Stendel. Done it before with Barnsley, plays good football. Will need money to spend and a better scouting/recruitment set up to get anywhere though.

Pretty much. Like I've said in previous posts, I think we're missing key players in key positions and have too many players who are too similar. We're playing 4321 without a proper No. 10 in the squad.

Thats my fear for Phillips - hell either come in and do a Roy Keane or flunk it. If he were appointed we would have to be extremely patient although Im sure he would get it right ...just how soon
Superkev is a decent shout at 10/1 not sure if I'd want him as manager though.
