If there'd been no news about the takeover today I'd have said that sacking the manager at this point would mean the new guys were incoming and wanted their own man, as it is who knows.

Anyway I hope to buggery that all you lot who wanted Ross gone are proved right about him being the problem not the players.

I'll second that. We need a bit more than a couple of months "New Manager Bounce" this time.

Sorry to see him go in some respects but for whatever reason this season has stalled very badly in the past six weeks and whoever we get to replace him I just hope we get the bounce we desperately need.
Just make sure Grimsby don't win tonight<laugh>

We were playing turgid football but sky bring up an interesting stat that we have the third least number of defeats in all the leagues. Good manipulation of figures and dates that

More like manipulation to paint it as anything other than an impressive statistic.

Not sure if it's just last season or taking this into account too but it's a canny achievement especially considering under the three previous managers we loved nothing more than losing every game.

Not disagreeing with you. This win ratio was quoted as 50% Over all games he’s managed. I honestly thought we’d lost more.

Oh well ...he´s gone. Right or wrong nobody will know.
I still believe he would have done a good job but that's just my opinion.

SKP or Hughton are the only two I can think of to replace.

Who would people prefer?

Hughton would be a great appointment, can't see him taking this on unfortunately.

Stendel. Done it before with Barnsley, plays good football. Will need money to spend and a better scouting/recruitment set up to get anywhere though.
Don't want Phillips. It'll just spoil his legacy.

Should have been done immediately after the play off final but here we are

I’d probably go for hughton but not sure if we could get him tbh

Thats my fear for Phillips - hell either come in and do a Roy Keane or flunk it. If he were appointed we would have to be extremely patient although Im sure he would get it right ...just how soon

Superkev is a decent shout at 10/1 not sure if I'd want him as manager though.
