I think a simple 'like' for a comment you agree with is better board etiquette than honing in persistently on one person's posts to pick fault anywhere and everywhere, and not give a thought for how threads then turn out.

You disagree with OLM a lot, we get it.

I comment on things I have an opinion on or know something about. The poster is largely irelavent. If anything, I tend not to reply to his posts because I can see how it looks.

The fact is, he does get a fair bit wrong, and I do disagree with him on some fundamental issues.

These boards are for opinions not just to agree with one half of gossip,.

Oh dear, Fez decides to go all ad hominem and claim others are disrupting threads. How tedious.

Who are you speaking to; who is your audience? I have posted about players, options and consequences, which did nothing to disrupt this thread. It would appear that your sole objective in joining the thread was to disrupt it, as you have certainly added nothing to it except use your insults against me to your imaginary audience. You still have not been specific in why you believe others are wrong in their belief that this is a shoddy piece of management. I don't need to attack your well known traits, you do the job all on your own.

Brucie 'Liam, do you want to play football for Hull City next season?
Liam ' yes please'
Brucie ' wrong answer - goodbye'

Brucie 'Junior, do you want to play football for Hull City next season?
Junior ' Do you mean Hull Tigers?
Brucie, 'yes, right answer, sign here'
Junior 'thanks for crib sheet daddy'
I hope Bruce Jr gets released too just to see who your next ridiculous scapegoat is

Cxxt of the month nomination all over this thread. Well played DMD, you will get there.

I think everyone understands the need to cut costs and therfore players. We have some who we got cheap a few years ago, are comparativly low paid performed well when given the chance, know the club well and fit in. We also have some we paid a lot of money for, presumabaly on a higher wage and underperformed on the pitch. Where we are now does not give the option of carrying too much dead wood, we need players who will turn up and put in a shift. Obviously there are existing contracts and players wishes to consider but as nothing more than a show of understanding and PR its not very clever for the first one going out of the door is a player from the first group rather than the later

I'm finding it hard to see the positive in this story.

Liam is a very popular player, a player who's never let us down, has always performed when called upon and has never complained about playing second fiddle.

I think it's understandable that most fans are upset about him being released, they're finding it hard to understand the reasoning.

Considering how popular he is, it might have been a good idea to tie in his release with some sort if statement on why the decision was made. Bruce is an honest bloke, he doesn't normally have an issue with explaining himself, I think Liam has earned that much.
We need an explanation as he is a decent guy Rosy and we all love him, there has to be more to it than meets the eye. We do have a lot of defenders.

All that seems to be the case is he hasn't been offered a new contract

Assuming that is the case I think it is a **** decision

If more information, or different information, comes to light then I may think something different

For now I still think it's ****

So from that do we deduce Liam has released this? Steve Bruce has acted impeccably throughout his time here, how do you know there wont be an official statement in the next day or two?

or maybe he has a better deal elsewhere lined up ... yes his grans from hull .. yes he is an ultimate pro in that respect but he still has an agent , he still needs to earn as much as poss over his twilight years ... lets see what is written before anything else for once pls ?

I don't disagree with you there.

I'm not totally up to date. Do we know how the news got out?

I wouldnt mind theres only me and about 6 other posters who have renewed their passes. The rest are out until Allam ****s off so why are they so bothered <laugh>

Apparently, the official figure is 9,500.

Last season it was 17,500.

No doubt some are waiting for the FA decision, no doubt others are waiting to see if the price increase is scrapped, either way, it's fairly disastrous at this stage.

I seem to remember a time when posters derailed threads with petty insults - it was a simpler time, a better time.

Now every thread is derailed by mods who all want the last word, and every post ends up a ****ing novel.

Yeah, fancy a mod also having an opinion. If only we followed the example you've just given.
