What Jack Rodwell brought to our beloved club was Jack Rodwell, he will live and breath every day as Jack Rodwell, he will park his car and say in his head over and over, I am Jack Rodwell, he will go home to whoever and as the water pours over the coffee cups again he will say in his head, I'm Jack Rodwell..

We will never say his name again and the only crow bar I have in the lads defence is that like many others he was sold a turkey by our asset stripping owner, the false promises and everything over the years in my opinion has been down to one man only.. The man that was sold a quick buck by a desperate man way out of his level..... Ellis is to blame but the roots need to be exposed too, yeah Mr Quinn..

0HAVE YOUR SAY
Chris Coleman has spoken for the first time about Jack Rodwell's ongoing situation at Sunderland - and revealed that the midfielder doesn't want to play for the club.

The Echo revealed on Monday that the Black Cats offered to tear up his deal over two weeks ago to free up room on the wage bill, but he wouldn't be in line for a pay-out.

In an interview with the Daily Mail this week, Rodwell said that he is prepared to leave Sunderland, but he will not walk away from the last 18-months of his contract.

The former Everton and Manchester City midfielder is on £70,000 a week. He was the only player not to have a 40 per cent pay cut clause inserted into his contract following relegation from the Premier League.

Rodwell has not featured under Chris Coleman, having suffered from a hamstring injury. In the Daily Mail interview, Rodwell also said that he would be available for selection if picked by Coleman.

Coleman was asked about the situation at his press conference at the Academy of Light this morning.

Coleman said: "Jack doesn't want to play for Sunderland. He has told me that, he has told us that, I saw the article. If Jack wants to be somewhere else and he plays every game, I would be happy for him. He is 26, and there is a career there if he wants it.

"The proof is in the pudding. We have to wait and see. He told me that he doesn't want to play at Sunderland, doesn't want to be here. That's that. It won't help me, us, tomorrow, I concentrate on the players we have got and have a crack.

"Your Jack Rodwell's who don't want to be here, they can't help our situation. The other boys who want to be here, they are the ones that will help us."

Lamine Kone and Didier Ndong have also made it clear that they see their futures elsewhere.

How can he not be sacked? If I told my boss that I no longer wanted to work at my company and all that I was going to do is turn up for work, clock on and then doss about doing feck all I'd be shown the door in no time.
The whole thing is a fecking disgrace!!

So in the mean time he thinks its ok to rock up to training to use our facilities to keep himself fit?
He should be made to stay at home and train in the local park.

If he's gone to Coleman and said that he doesn't want to be here, why hasn't he put in a formal transfer request and told his agent to find him another club?

Answer - £££££

All this talk about football is simply b0llox

10k a day to show up for training for 2 hours and 2 months off in the summer. Its sickening isnt it.
Some people earn that in a year and have a family to support.

Unbelievable how he's got the ****ing nerve to say he doesn't want to play for us when I don't see any other **** paying him to play for them.

Unbelievable.

Makes me angry every time I think about him. **** of the highest order but that lie riddled interview has made him an ever bigger **** in my eyes

If he claims to be fit and good enough to play in the Premier league then you'll have no problem finding a new club and lucrative contract after making yourself a free agent

I posted earlier in this that I had no beef with Rodwell - I ****ing do now!!!

"I don't want to play for Sunderland" THEN **** OFF YOU SPONGING TWAT - it's not fair asking me to walk away from the wage? Well if you DON'T WANT TO PLAY and it's NOT ABOUT THE MONEY then why don't you just walk away?

Hope you get hit by a bus, you tosser
