This contradicts popular public opinion however. As proven at St. Marys Liverpool are allowed to defend there own penalty area by any means possible ( often these means constitute common assault ) and as proven in Stevie me's final Liverpool game sometimes the Pool don't bother to even defend !
And yet we still finished above you <ok> ............ again ....... <ok> ...........looking forward to doing it next year too ....... must hurt after all the vitriole your lot gave to Lovren and Lallana. I remember reading a post on your board where someone said something like - 'can't wait for us to beat Liverpool in the cup final and as the players go up for their medals, Fonte shows Lovren his winners medal and says look what you would have had' ...... that went well <laugh>

Hes said he'd walk if owners asked him to... Could all be a load of bollocks but wouldn't surprise me if was some sort of truth in it and a much reduced compensation fee was agreed

There has to be a reason he takes a lower fee surely? I cant see it.

The speech was his usual Shankly imitation.

So your midfield of Hendo and Coutinho is better than Cork, Ki, Jonjo and Gylfi? <whistle>

Our best midfield has more goals than your best midfield too :D

Milner would be a very good signing though. Can't see Rodgers going for Benteke (although it's bloody obvious he should).

So you have a better midfield. Obviously a better attack since we don't have one. Your defence can't be worse than ours unless you don't have one at all? Naturally, a better manager too. Does that mean Migs is single handedly the reason we finished two places and six points ahead of your despite us having a **** year? <whistle>

No we just like a fair shake, an opposition allowed offside goal followed minutes later by a penalty given for an out of box challenge, ain't relying on bias, it's relying on the ref doing his job ......... properly, like he's supposed to <ok>

Do you only see the ones that go against you?

Only because they gifted 6th to you by ****ing up the last few games <ok>

I am not surprised that such nonsense has been spouted on the Saints board, I can actually recall even more ridiculous and cringey predictions on there This board however takes the proverbial biscuit ( Klopp and Ancelotti are realistic managerial targets for liverpool ? ) Glad to see that the expensive embarrassment that was Liverpool's season can be justified by finishing above Southampton ( by 2 points <laugh> )

We felt sorry for Brenda so we let you beat us twice ;)
Although, considering you spent £100 million and only finished 6 points ahead of us says it all really.
It's a shame we couldn't play you tomorrow <wah>

Don't flatter yourself mate, that comment only mentioned saints in response to your comments on how poor our team's been. I would never measure us in any way ever with Southampton. You've just had a standout season, enjoy it <ok>

Saints have been getting progressively better every year in contrast to Liverpool. I predict that we will overtake Liverpool next season despite of course spending much less and not having the benefit of endless favourable refereeing decisions <ok>

Compare it to last seasons team before we spent that money if you like. The team was more or less the same bar two players ;)

You and Spurs will finish closer to 4th than Pool next season, one of you may even get top 4 <ok>
