Just exchanged texts with my mate. Rodgers is safe....................for now. He'll be with us at the start of the season. If the results are dodgy from kick off, he'll be gone before the beginning of October. Apparently.
That seems silly to me. Either stick with him and support him or sack him. What's the point in saying you've got the first six weeks of the season to prove to us you're the right man for the job? He's been here three years, isn't that enough time to make a decision? If he fails and we sack him, another season is already ****ed. If he is staying, it's put him under even more pressure to perform.
Agreed. Who do we expect to be available at the start of October if we do sack him? Unless there is actually someone we expect to become available and so are prepared to wait until then.
Klopp after six months(ish) out? Ancelotti after his surgery? Benitez after he's been sacked by Madrid?
