Just exchanged texts with my mate. Rodgers is safe....................for now. He'll be with us at the start of the season. If the results are dodgy from kick off, he'll be gone before the beginning of October. Apparently.
That seems silly to me. Either stick with him and support him or sack him. What's the point in saying you've got the first six weeks of the season to prove to us you're the right man for the job? He's been here three years, isn't that enough time to make a decision? If he fails and we sack him, another season is already ****ed. If he is staying, it's put him under even more pressure to perform.

Agreed. Who do we expect to be available at the start of October if we do sack him? Unless there is actually someone we expect to become available and so are prepared to wait until then.

Klopp after six months(ish) out? Ancelotti after his surgery? Benitez after he's been sacked by Madrid?

I have zero confidence going into the new season.

Really don't agree with giving him 6 weeks. Gives a new manager zero time to get feet under the table, no chance of bringing in players over the summer. And you run the risk of missing out on a new manager i.e. Klopp and Ancelotti could be gone, and targeting a manager who is already at a club will be impossible.

FFS...<doh>

Players who we feel positive about for next season

Sturridge (if he sorts his legs out)
Coutinho
Can opener
Ibis Hotels
Henderdenderson
Ming (maybe if he don't go all flappy again)
Sterling (if the little ****a's still around and even then there's ?? marks)

Ends there for me. The rest have a lot to prove and three of em have brackets

My list is a bit shorter than that...

Flanno (needs to sort injury issue though)
Sakho
Can
Coutinho
Ibe
Studge (needs to sort injury issues)

PS...who the **** is Ibis Hotels meant to be? <laugh>

Balotubbie's agent has confirmed he's leaving in the summer according to twitter.

Not according to Sky Sports who have said his agent has said the opposite.

I guess we will see.

Don't suppose you want him?!

No ta mate.

He needs a basket case of a club......get Ayre to give Carver a bell.
