dear god... players only...

we can only hope the arabs arrest and behead the lot and we get billions in insurance.

players only ffs.
Otherwise known as a millionaires piss up.

Team bonding while spit roasting Russian whores no doubt.............

its mattered to city and arsenal i can tell you. 2nd seed arsenal or 1st seed arsenal = cruise through group. 3rd seed city... struggle all the time.

if you look at the coefficents chelsea are 1st seeds in 4th place i ntable. arsenal are 9th in table so will prob not be first seeds especially with new rules. utd will be second seeds as they are 10th

city are now in 17th place. there are... 16 seeds... but dortmund are out this emans city will be second seeds and will get out of thier group

the whole point of the seedings is to reward the biggest names with easier passages to knockout stages.

If tottenham ever get back in they will find it quite quite hard to replicate their amazing run to QF.. why? cost they got lucky that year running in to rafa and inter being pigs of a side and letting them off the hook. 4th seeds are hugely up against it in CL.

Contrast that to athletico... they got into CL finally and were ready after europa successes and they sued those ranking points to kick on. two good cmapaings in CL has now put them up to 5th seeds. atletico madrid shoudl be the club LFC and everton and Spurs all look at as the example of what to do,

PIty simeone is the main man who gives them heart and lfc have rodgers so have none.

Think the seeding changes now though doesn't it? CL winners plus the winners of the seven top European leagues (eight of one of them won the league & CL) are in the first pot. Coefficients thereafter

Would every one be happy with Milner, Ings and Benteke if we also signed a top top DM and CB?

Mignolet
Flanagan TOP Sakho Moreno
TOP
Henderson Milner
Coutinho
Benteke Sturridge

KD and his methods were widely thought of as the past tbf while Rodgers and his method and style very much the future...and probably still is despite this season's setback.

A £10m+ bill to pay off him and his backroom staff probably doesnt help either <laugh>

Hes said he'd walk if owners asked him to... Could all be a load of bollocks but wouldn't surprise me if was some sort of truth in it and a much reduced compensation fee was agreed

Ah but Jonjo doesn't complete games, does he ? ;)

He's been much better during the second half of the season tbh. Scored some great goals too. I'd have sold him asap in January, but he's a very important cog in the midfield now <cheers>

Come to think of it, he's scored more goals during the second half of the season than the midfield I replied to have scored between them all season ;)

Thats why it would be our 2nd choice back up midfield <whistle>

So your midfield of Hendo and Coutinho is better than Cork, Ki, Jonjo and Gylfi? <whistle>

Our best midfield has more goals than your best midfield too :D

Milner would be a very good signing though. Can't see Rodgers going for Benteke (although it's bloody obvious he should).

That would be a second choice midfield though.

I know, but I'd hardly call it strength in depth. Surely a club challenging for the title would have players sitting on the bench that would get into starting sides of the likes of Swansea.

For example, if Arsenal sign Vidal, they could have Wiltshire, Walcott, Chamberlain, Flamini, Ramsay, Arteta, Ozil or Carzola on their bench next season. For me, that is true strength in depth.
