Why sack your manager with 7 games left? What can a new man suddenly do that MO'N couldn't?
Get a few quid on Sunderland for the drop. Ditto Reading. QPR have too much to do, I think, especially with Wigan doing their Houdini act again, but I wouldn't bet on it. Stoke are in freefall, but can they really go down when they hardly ever lose or concede at home?
It's panic stations now,new TV deal etc I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there's one more sacking before the season is out.
I've been telling people for weeks that Stoke could go down but it's fallen on deaf ears. If they lose to Villa it's looking bleak for them.
This may also be the year where 40 points isn't enough to stay up. In 02/03, West Ham went down with a record 42 points, after 30 games they had 27 points. Villa and Wigan both have 30 points after 30 games.
Can anyone see Sunderland getting 3 wins or Stoke getting 2? I can't.
