Really ?It's similar to Liverpool quoting £20m for their low priority cup tie keeper Caoimhin Kelleher, in spite him playing the grand total of 5 PL games

By that logic we should be quoting £30m+ for TangangaReally ?

So do I but Kellerher can actually do his job to a high standard and will only get better.By that logic we should be quoting £30m+ for Tanganga
I very much doubt we'd get £20m for Tanganga...
Kelleher has gone from being in goal for a 5-0 win over Watford a couple of years ago to a 4-4 draw with Southampton a couple of months back, so technically he's getting worseSo do I but Kellerher can actually do his job to a high standard and will only get better.
Yeah, i can see Burnley owners being happy to throw City £20M to help them with FFP. I would think it more likely that Kompany knows this lad well from his time at City and has got in early for a player he thinks will make the grade.
It's what good CEO's do, back the manager. If you don't trust the manager why would you employ him?Well it's certainly a massive show of support by the owners, spending that much on a totally unproven kid.
By this measure, you probably should've paid around £95m for Onana.

Burnley's spending is a little weird when you look at their last three seasonsIt's what good CEO's do, back the manager. If you don't trust the manager why would you employ him?
Burnley have just signed a 20yo keeper who has never played higher than League One, for almost £20m.
What the hell.
Madness.
Definitely something dodgy going on there. Probably Kompany helping his old club get around FFP.
Spot onHe has just had an exceptional tournament for the England under 21s, he looks a fabulous prospect and his stock currently very high, of course being good at a junior international tournament is not a guarantee of him going on to be a great keeper, but its a good start. He was excellent for Bolton last year in league 1, and I don't think that he is that much of a risk and they could easily double there money in a couple of seasons.

A keeper is arguably the only position that you can look at in lower league levels and be fairly confident that they will perform at a higher level. The skills are far more directly transferable without other influences, such as physical strength, stamina, speed etc.A tournament that they won and in which they didn't concede a goal.
He made a late penalty save in the final to ensure both of those things, too.
He may have only featured for Bolton in League One, but they were pretty solid while he was there.
He joined in January of the 2021/22 season when they were 18th and they finished 9th.
The following campaign saw them finish 5th and only concede 36 in 46 games.
That's the second best in the division behind 2nd place Ipswich on 35.
He kept 31 clean sheets in 78 games for them overall, which is very good for a youngster.
The only thing that's questionable about the transfer is the stipulations.
Sell-on and buy-back clauses put them in a fairly **** position.
What's your objection to that description?Really ?

Using facts to argue with @Diego ...Best of luckWhat's your objection to that description?
Kelleher's played 5 league games and 16 cup games at senior level.
That's very, very few for a player that'll be 25 in November.
Trafford made nearly 4 times as many appearances and he's 20.

Oh...you were talking about Messi! I thought you meant the great DeAndre Yedlin!I don’t even believe in god but this guy was definitely favoured by something from above. Think one of my best footballing moments was getting to watch him play live… even if he did absolutely annihilate us in the process

I'm not saying that's a fix, but the keeper's positioning makes absolutely no sense.I don’t even believe in god but this guy was definitely favoured by something from above.
