How long before the OT faithful demand more from Mourinho?

He’s taken you forward in his two seasons but the football on offer is pretty awful.
Next season is the Portuguese Yosser Hughes' third at Old Trafford, and we all know what tends to happen in his third season at any club - especially if he signed a bumper contract extension a few months before the start of the season...

The same debate was had about Boycott opening for England.
He would never have opened for the West Indies.
Therein lies the answer.
Utd have never been happy scoring at 2 runs per over

Sounds like Martial and Rashford are available .."Great managers" always single out players instead of blaming there own style of play and management

After walking away with the French League championship,PSG will not renew the managers contract. I think after paying the moon for Neymar.they expected to win the CL. They didn't so the manager got the chop. Makes sense!!!!!!!?

But usually the second season is when his teams hit their peak and win the title.

If this is as good as it gets then next season could be awful for Utd.

Every game seems like it's the first time the players have met each other.
No tactics, no plan, no creativity, no understanding.
I've no doubt there are many talented individuals in that squad who could be coached to play as a formidable team - but it's not happening.
Their individual ability is enabling them to get through games and pick up points, although recent appalling performances v WBA & Brighton show that it's not enough.

So second is back on. Also puts our recent draw there in perspective perhaps we're not quite in the slump we thought.

"For 10 months I get asked 'why always Lukaku? Why always Lukaku, why always Lukaku? Why always this player? That guy doesn't have a chance to start, the other one is on the bench.' You know why now."

Think that could certainly be right for Rashford! I can’t believe any manager would so openly criticize and undermine a young immensely talented player. Hope Moanarinho gets the sack - after effecting a further two defeats and relinquishing 2nd. <diva>

I'm not sure that the angry little Portuguese bloke cares overly about the PL at this point of the seasoon. They're in the CL next season and a million light years behind Citeh. Last night saw a number of players thrown in together - Darmian, Rojo, Fellaini, Mata, Rashford and Martial. That's a scratch team and that central three of Matic, Pogba and Fellaini was always likely to struggle against a Brighton team that are really dynamic at home. United have been much better with Herrera or McTominay in there.

Those three forward players have contributed bit-parts this season but that's all. Their best forward players this season have been Lukaku [despite his limitations] and Lingard. Sanchez is also in their best XI, when playing well.

I wonder whether there was an element of sending a message to the board of...."Look at some of the weak arsed **** that I've got to work with. We need to spend big this summer." The current collection of players probably wouldn't get second next season, let alone meaningfully challenge for the title. They must know this and it's all about who they can bring in to transform it. New full backs, a top centre half and a disciplined midfield leader would really improve things but could cost more than £300m, post-Pep at Citeh and Neymar. Proving how weak the options are might just sway that kind of expenditure.

Stoke started slowly. If they are relegated today does that mean that Crouchy might become available?
Couldn't do any worse than the Route master.

Said it before, but Cabaye is an overrated, lazy, nasty, whingeing twat.

Shahqiri is a mercurial talent, capable of great things, but not often enough and doesn't exactly overwork himself.

Is there a real player in there somewhere that a Poch could work with?
