Coleman, their manager (a Scouser ironically) has done brilliantly for them. Some big(gish) teams in League Two with much bigger budgets - Coventry, Luton, Swindon, Notts Co. Accrington operate on £15k per week - or the wages of a top PL player since 10 o'clock this morning.
To be fair, they do have Mark Hughes (not that one), Scott Brown (not that one) and Danny Williams (not that one, nor that one either) playing for them.
I think it's more to do with Coleman being mustard. Or Andy Gray being in charge of youth development (not that one - or the other one).
Wouldn't have been my choice either, but in his defence: http://www.soccerbase.com/teams/team.sd?team_id=1718&teamTabs=results 84% win rate when he plays. 44% win rate when he doesn't. That an enormous difference.
By the way.Was the ref waiting for the United defender to pull the no.9's arm from it's socket before he blew for a penalty?
Marcos Alonso has been handed a 3 match ban that sees him miss the SF this weekend. Excellent news as he has been one of if not their best defender this season.
Unfortunately not. Soton will understandably prioritise the league. But the league games he misses are away to Burnley and Swansea. Could have a big impact on how those games go.
