What a loathsome act by Spurs who have no intention of signing the player.
They have no pedigree and no class. Liverpool should remember this and
make the same gesture when Spurs go to sign a young player.

    :D

To explain to that "reader" (from Manchester but perhaps a Mouser) ...

Burnley face losing Ings and Trippier.
And the cost for Ings possibly going to tribunal.

So, in order to get Trippier for the lowest possible cost, and help
Burnley get the highest possible return on the pair, Levy has kindly helped
    them in this quest.

And no doubt if Spurs are forced to take both, the average cost for each will be ok.

If Levy really wanted Ings solo and went full Levy, the kid would be on a
    <standard> Liege deal by now.

To the surprise of absolutely nobody who isn't an utterly delusional fruitcake, Slaven Bilic has been named as the new West Ham manager.

Strange move by Bilic, allowing his promising career to go down the pan like that.

Mr Bilic says "when I met the chairmen and Karren Brady, they convinced me they are determined to make a big club even bigger".

I haven't heard such a load of old shyte since I last saw Brendan being interviewed.

Not the first time Bilic made a bad career move - he was being touted for several clubs when he was Croatia manager, so the club he agreed to manage next was...Lokomotiv Moscow, which saw him slip off the radar of various clubs as a result.

I will always associate Bilic with the atrocious acting performance that saw Blanc sent off and suspended for the WC final, and as such I hope his time at West Ham is a catastrophic failure ending in championship football at the OS in 2016

I don't think Bilic will do anything great for West Ham, he may play the attacking football their fans desire but I doubt he'll finish any higher that what Big Sam managed to do for them, they should have stuck with him in my opinion, not the most glamorous of managers but he knows this league inside out and for clubs like West Ham, substance should always be taken over style.

I would hate for West Ham to be able to leverage a gift of British taxpayers and an increase in PL revenue into better fortunes for themselves, but unfortunately there’s a decent chance that’s exactly what will happen. "Bilic is probably a good choice, unfortunately," sums up my thoughts as well. West Ham is in the unusual position of needing to increase its fan base, and its fan base’s willingness to go somewhere a bit odd. Bilic is popular with them, so that should help.

I can only hope the Olympic Stadium will turn into West Ham’s Three Rivers Stadium: an alien place with lousy atmosphere that drives fans away.

Swansea sign Andre Ayew on a free transfer, which looks like a smart bit of business.

I will always associate Bilic for his start turn in Highlander as Kurgan. Great performance but obviously decided his future lay in football rather than in beheading Spanish named, Scottish sounding Egyptians in dodgy wigs.
