The club received complaints from their own fans after Wilshere's yobbish behaviour shocked them so much it caused several of them to drop their prawn & avocado panini in shock and, in the worst example, caused a spillage that left craft beer stains on their Liberty-bought sweater.
Why? Wasn't jose just trying to fit in with chelsea fans?

Mourinho's comments came across as being very vindictive. Wilshere's less so.
Surely at a press conference, a manager is expected to conduct himself with more class and etiquette than at a trophy parade when the players are pissed from the night before? There's more leeway to act like a bit of a twat when you're with your own supporters compared to a press conference, in my view. Jose showed this when he was mocking all his rivals at Chelsea's event several days back.
Although I guess he acts like a twat with his own supporters and with everyone else, so it's no surprise that he's universally hated.

I can't say I'd be especially pleased if it was the other way around and a Spurs player did this. Celebrating a trophy should be all about celebrating your club so sing pro-Arsenal songs, not anti-Spurs ones. It was the same with Chelsea when they won the CL, straight away they were taunting Spurs for taking the CL spot rather than concentrating on the fact that they'd just won the ****ing Champions League! I think that's embarrassing, personally.
That said, I wasn't offended by it and I doubt many were, just perhaps those that tuned in to Arsenal's coverage with their kids and didn't want them to be exposed to swearing.
Spurs players aren't innocent of it either. I'm sure Robinson led us in a few rounds of "stand up if you hate Arsenal" in response to "Robbo, give us a song". Again I think that's a little embarrassing but not quite as embarrassing as Wilshere's obssession with celebrating finishing above us when he's supposed to be celebrating winning a trophy.
The comment from an arsenal player that hurt was Berkamp...in 2001 he said that arsenal didn't think anything of spurs...they considered us an irrelevance as we were bottom of the table and they were top...it hurt cos it was painfully and obviously true.

I'd be bothered by Wilshere if he was doing anything worthwhile on the pitch.
Getting paid a ****load to go out on the piss with his mates, fighting, smoking and generally being a twat doesn't annoy me, as he doesn't play for us.
I suspect that Wenger's patience with him is running out.

My memory may be deceiving me but wasn't it you who, several seasons back, said Wilshere went on loan to Bolton because of his poor behaviour and attitude? If so, I always wondered why you thought that.
Wenger tried to get him away from his mates, who he believed to be a poor influence.
It appears that he was right, as there were a number of incidents involving them after his return.
He was cautioned once, given a warning on another occasion and has something of a reputation for that sort of thing.
Where did you get this from though? Because all I remember at the time was that Wenger and a number of other media outlets claimed that he went to Bolton because he needed first team football to adapt to the Premier League. At the time he went to Bolton wasn't he like 17/18? I don't recall much being said about his off-the-field antics at that time.
In regards to Wilshere as a player, he is clearly very talented and could have a very good future ahead of him, but I am concerned with his habits and actions off the field, as well as his injuries. He hasn't progressed as much as I thought he would, but he is still only 23.
Despite what you may think of him as a person, and I don't exactly have a high opinion of him myself, he does have talent.
In saying that, if there were any substance to the rumours of City wanting him for £30m, I think we should seriously consider that because, as good as a player I think he is, he's in danger of jeopardising his career.
If what PNP says is true and he went to Bolton to get him away from his friends, it clearly hasn't done many favours for us and this was 5 years ago now. How much patience will we have with him?

Wilshere was largely an unknown at the time, but Premier League clubs pay a lot of attention to the antics of their youth players.
I'm sure you've heard the stories about Ferguson busting up parties, for example.
I'd heard that he was being removed from disruptive influences when the loan came up.
He did very well at Bolton and didn't generate any headlines for his off-pitch problems.
Rejoined Arsenal in the summer and got nicked before Christmas. That was a while ago, though.
There is a good player in there somewhere within Wilshere, but he contrives to be unlikable and not very relatable off the pitch, although as a Spurs fan I may have a slight slant on that view! I know he's had big injury problems but he seems to do himself no favours with his off-the-pitch antics either and with every passing year it becomes more and more likely that his story will be one of ultimately unfulfilled promise after a brief flash or two in the pan. At 23, and having been on the scene for as long as he has been, you'd expect him to be nailing down a place in Arsenal's team and he isn't doing that. £30 million would be silly money for him.
If you put Wilshere's talent with Ryan Mason's attitude (picking Mason as he's same position/age/etc and he seems to work hard) you'd have a hell of a player.
