I would disagree. It was typically classless behaviour from a player with a long history of it. It was supposed to be day to celebrate The Goons winning something, calling us **** at the same time is just infantile, or drunken, or both in this case.
As a pro he should avoid directly swearing at us,as opposed to banter which is what Walcott did on the stretcher. Wilshere doesn't know what lies ahead,for example he will have to play alongside Tottenham players with the England team.
One of the reasons Paul Robinson was so popular was because he initiated a lot of anti-Arsenal chants.
Then obviously you are an adult with an infant's mentality. With about as much class as Wilshere. I.e. Close to zero.
What to do we exactly want from players these days? Do we want them to be boring and just spout tedious cliches in every interview that they have learned in media training or a player who actually says what he really feels? Wilshere does not like Spurs and Spurs fans clearly do not like him. That's the way it should be between Arsenal and Spurs, we are rivals, ffs. When you guys win a trophy, maybe one of your players can return the favour. But you do have to win that trophy first.

Of course you are not going to find it funny. But the Arsenal fans that were there did, and that's why Wilshere started that chant. He knows his audience and as the guy above posted, players from your past also did the same thing. It's all part of our great rivalry. When Wilshere comes to the lane (if he is not injured) he will rightly take a lot of stick and he knows and understands that.
I assume that there were thousands of kids celebrating you win. It is not good that they heard that sort of obscene rant from one of your players. Having a pop at your rivals should be funny and appropriate. Wilshere's was neither.
I'll just conclude by saying that I appreciate witty banter, it's all part of the different rivalries amongst all of us. But, let's face it, what Wishere did wasn't funny, or witty, just a stupid, drunken rant. No, it hasn't wound me up, it's just well, pathetic.
The point about children being there is a fair one and I do think Wilshere should have been a bit more tactful with his words, but the faux outrage about it has been ridiculous. There's been a number of news articles about it and in the grand scheme of things, it really isn't that big a deal, so this whole furore about it is just a storm in a teacup. As some others have rightly said, if the shoe was on the other foot, and one of your lot did it, you would revel in the occasion. Swings and roundabouts really.
Personally I couldnt care less about it but it does make me laugh that when jose takes the piss out of arsenal, like calling wenger a specialist in failure, the goons go mad... calling classless etc. There was even a thread about joses speech at the manager of the year award on the goon board cos he dared laugh at the goons...yet they support their players playing the wum cos that's just "banter" There's no greater hypocrite than a footie fan
There's a huge difference between taking the mick out of your local rivals at a trophy parade and calling a manager whose been at a club for 19 years a specialist in failure at a press conference. What Wilshere did was juvenile, but essentially, all he was doing was showing us how much he wants to fit in with the fanbase. Should he have said what he did? Probably not as it was unnecessary but I just feel you're drawing a false parallel between the two situations.
To be fair, if we win a trophy any time soon and one of our lads didn't mug Arsenal off in the process, I'd be a little disappointed. Football is about passion and a lot of passion can stem from rivalry, all Wilshere has done is just add fuel to the fire a bit more. I think the bloke's a **** but doing what he done is something I'd have done to Arsenal if given the opportunity. As for children being there, yeah ok on that point he should've chosen his words more carefully but realistically when kids are at a football game/ football environment they're bound to hear swearing, most kids probably knew the chant anyway, it's a common one used by all fans when spouting **** at their rivals. The only thing that somewhat annoyed me is that it had to be a **** player that mugged us off, I mean if Sanchez or Cazorla done a chant, I could sit there and think "Ok fair play, you're a good player and you've won a trophy, you've somewhat earned a little right to get a bit excited and mug us off, though you're still a prick", but Jack-****ing-Wheelchair?! Do me a favour, he's basically just a glorified football fan who gets paid for sitting on the bench or keeping the physios and doctors busy.
Wilshere doing that chant makes way more sense than Sanchez or Cazorla, who could not give two ****s about Spurs or the North London rivalry, it's just another game for those guys. Wilshere has been at Arsenal since he was 10, so he understands the rivalry between us, hence the chant.
