It would not have been wild optimism to think Balo might have got in or anound 10 or 12 goals this season. No one, even MITO or the all knowing Tobes predicted Balo being as bad as he has been.

The Brod vs Committee argument is massively flawed by Brod's own admission, Ayre claiming the same thing pretty kills it.

While that is true, at the end of the window with no replacement and balo available, what do you do? Go with no one?
He scored 28 goals last season, yes a lot fo frees and some penos but I don;t think anyone was guessing he was the answer, he was probably the only option left at that time and even the biggest pessimist thought he would be better than he was
