Chelsea fans singing about Gerrard obviously achieved their goal with some of you

Just think it's bizarre. Never mind you are not singing about even your opponents on the night, nor the fact you lost a champions league final in a similar way....surely these teams fans have songs about thwir own team that would be better to sing?

I mean, if you're the Chelsea , United etc etc players and all you hear every week is Steven Gerrards name being sung by your fans can't be a positive.

Ah well, whatever gives their tiny little brains joy......

I agree it's bizarre and they should focus on their own players. However who do you think they are thinking of when they sing about Gerrard? It's not their team, their players, their manager or even Gerrard, is Liverpool fans. The comments I saw above by you and whoever the other one was was exactly the reaction they want. Tobes thought it was funny too!

No what I'm saying is that once the last of his successful teams started to retired and dip in quality(Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra etc) Fergie did barely anything to improve his team. RVP was one last throw of the dice and a huge gamble that he'd stay fit and a short term fix and improvement. The title that year was more down to Citeh throwing it away rather than Man U's team being good.

Its amazing how Diego has managed to take the tiniest part of each of my posts, whilst ignoring the actual discussion, and steer the conversation in a completely different direction.

I was talking about Liverpool building on success in order to achieve better and be mentioned as front runners for the title, Diego managed to confuse this with having to rebuild the team from scratch and somehow we've managed to end up discussing how **** everyone was 2yrs ago. Impressive.

Good performance from us though, was only Burnley but Costa scored and I have always held the belief that the sooner a new striker scores for his new club the better, otherwise it becomes a thing. Remember Crouch for you guys, didnt score for like 15 games or some ****? He came good after, but still......

Also Fabregas looked awesome! Good signing there by Jose. All in all, a decent opener, but still 37 games to go
