  • Premier League

  • Champions League

  • FA Cup

  • League Cup

  • As much as Everton and Spurs!

I like this thinking, if it applies to everyone i feel much better about Uniteds performance now.

Forget Chelsea`s striker, have you seen how Fab, Shirly, Hazard and Oscar are playing, they will score enough without a striker. The defence has had a few dodgy moments though which i didn`t expect.

No, you were still **** <whistle>

I mentioned City.

Us, It'd be nice but my hopes are for top4 so that we can build again and be genuine contenders 2015/16

Sorry, missed that in your first post.

I also don't think we'll be title challengers this year, but then I didn't think that this time last season either. It's too early to rule it out, but I won't bank on it.

You just bought eight players to add to a team/squad that just got pipped to the title by two points (or one slip), how much re-building do you have to do after selling one man?

Didn't say re-build, said build. A club needs to build on successful seasons to maintain the level and go beyond, add better players and replacing the older ones and under performers. I know this is an odd concept to a Man Utd fan, after all Slur Alex forgot to build on the success of Giggs, Scholes etc and just let the squad fizzle out to be in the current **** it is now.

As in, it's a year to integrate those 8 players and find out the best way to play those players and existing players without a Suarez in the eleven, with the addition of CL to play?

To do that and get a minimum of top four with the competition around will be no mean feat ....

Perfectly doable though.

Are you saying that in the 20 years those two were playing we never changed another player in the squad? **** me our team must all be in their forties and fifties now!

Mis-interpreted the build as re-build, (don`t tell Roger though)

No what I'm saying is that once the last of his successful teams started to retired and dip in quality(Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra etc) Fergie did barely anything to improve his team. RVP was one last throw of the dice and a huge gamble that he'd stay fit and a short term fix and improvement. The title that year was more down to Citeh throwing it away rather than Man U's team being good.
