Coronation Street star John Savident has died aged 86, it has been confirmed.

The actor was known for his booming voice while playing butcher Fred Elliott on the ITV soap.

Fred is well remembered by fans for his friend Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) declaring her love for him just as he was due to marry Bev Unwin (Susie Blake)

Grange Hill star Stuart Organ, who was best known for playing Peter Robson in the children's television drama, has died aged 72.

The British actor played a firm but fair role as a PE teacher in the drama, going on to become the longest-serving member of staff at the school.

His representative revealed he 'died peacefully at home after a short illness' on Friday.

Another one.....apologies if this has already been mentioned.
Peter Chapman, last week. Son of Bob Chapman ex Hull City chairman. Peter was a vice president at City but left the position under Ehabs regime. I have it on good authority that it was Peter who persuaded Steve Bruce to join Hull City and alerted Assem Allam to his availability.
The Chapman family have been big supporters of Hull City for a number of years and Peter was a staunch fan of the club, his loyalty and dedication was sadly, soured when he fell out of love with the club after a disagreement. Peter, like his father, played an important part in the history of our club. RIP tiger.

Wrong Pete Chapman, the one that just died was 88, Pete’s only in his late 60’s.

Stan Bowles RIP
Great character and very skilful player.. Won 1 or maybe 2 England caps under Don Revie
Instead of being disciplined I'm sure one of his clubs sent him to play for Carlisle as a punishment. It was just far enough to get him away. I'm sure he said he enjoyed it. Chip off the old block.
