Because of ****s like Bob Crow
You’re talking about individuals – which admittedly can hinder or enhance any movement.
Do you think individuals like Crow are the sole reason why people view unions so negatively or do you think it’s been more of a victory of the new right and its media?
Actually, I’d wager that most people who have that inherited view of unions as a cancer don`t know who Crow is; equally, they will not know of the past achievements of unions.
I think unions now occupy a very small fraction of media and public attention-span compared to the 60s-70s-80s.
They are the Leeds United of politics ( no offence intended)
I agree city agro.I have no political axe to grind with any party. The bosses and unions and police have all abused power in their time.It is standing up to percieved abuse (by trouble causers or the upholders of the law) which should be challenged.I do not believe the terraces or town centres could police themselves.I never want to see another Bradford or Ibrox. It does not mean though that we cannot move towards safe standing and other well thought out safe ways of improving match atmosphere so we get back to the good old days without the genuine **** that went along with it.
------------------ffs seriously some people here are acting like little kids trying to flount the rules ..
how about listening to the authorities .. not giving them an excuse for a Yorkshire post article and just chilling out
they are doing their job ... its what they are paid to do .... let them do it
the article today about our flare loving fan sums it up ... the minority have spoilt it historically for most fans ,,,, and he deserved what he got ..
guys .. get out of the 80's and just accept that football now is a family friendly sport and the whole "tribal" thing is a thing of the past
..... i can only see me going to fewer next season. Its not cos of the football, which is better than ever,it's the experience.
The authorities won't be happy until we file in the stadium in silence, hand over a small fortune for merchandise and tickets, sit still for 120 minutes and then leave the same way we came in.
Have I mentioned di canio is a ****** and should never work again in the past hour?
No.
If you've spent anytime in Rome, you'll know that many Roma are 'left wing ' , CUCS = Comandos Ultras Curva Sud, and many Lazio are 'right wing', 'Irriducibili'.
It's like 'bloods' and 'crips', Rangers and Celtic, Hull and Rovers, Spice Girls and Take That.
You don't really think Totti is in favour of neo communist policies do you?
Di Canio is mad as a hatter and knows his core audience, but please don't tell me you think he holds any kind of thought-out political viewpoint?
Hilarious
Man breaks law and gets punished thread becomes some bird brained rant by solipsistic morons.
Thank god I left when I did. Two hours on a bike turbo was more fun than reading that, and that is saying something!!
