Would you have approved planning for the container cafe?

Nope.

A fair amount of the things whinged about are not the council either, despite what some claim or imply.

The city is the people, the council just represent them. I don't see too many people stepping up to act and progress the place.

Go on then, show us a post on this thread that whinges about the city and not the council.

Seems none Hull rate payers love to tell us how to spend our money, but get upset when ERYC **** ups are raised.

You mentioning irony, when claiming it's small minded people in Hull that hold us back, on a thread where you'e once again whining with your usual, not strictly accurate, miserable examples is amusing.

Any examples of non Hull rate payers being upset when someone mentions ERYC **** ups are raised? Or what these **** ups were! Not that I would defend ERYC if they did.
Anyone who thinks Hull folk in general are not parochial in comparison to other city dwellers haven't travelled around very much.
I don't recall telling you, HCC or anyone else how to spend their money. Stopping other people spending their money or making it awkward for them to do soare different matters.

Seriously?

Okay, can you explain why you think your question has any relevance to the post you quoted?

Nobody has whinged about the city. Some have whinged about our council. If the council have refused the planning permission, then of course it's their doing and no one elses. The council is living in the past.

That doesn't explain your question, it simply confirms what I said, that quite often, people on here whinge about the council, when the issues are not really the council's responsibility.

Living in the past is possibly apt, given they argue the pod thing wasn't fitting in with the older buildings nearby. Odd given that odd looking gold building that looks fire damaged, and is now getting covered by another building, but there it is.

Nothing will please everyone, but at least the process is open to ideas and input from citizens. It just needs a few more to contribute positively with thoughts and ideas in the right place, rather than random, Ill informed whinges on a football forum.

Oh, the irony.

Looks alright, but impractical for the 8 months of the year when it'll be bloody freezing

Really? I often walk along Roker front and was on Scarborough front yesterday and today, folked seemed to know how to wrap up - you ever been skiing?

With all these haters of the council its good to know they all take the Allams side in the big debate about the KC. Dont they?

Like I said before, you can have an argument in an empty room. Sometimes you talk some much uninformed **** I wonder if you're just playing Devil's Advocate because you're a bored contrarian, like Morrissey.

Given the shortage of any meaningful facts in that and your previous replies, that bit really is irony. <laugh>

Boxpark in shoredich, works well there, also holds free events most of the year.

I'd rather the club owned the KC rather than the council. My opposition to Allam is purely based on the name change and the ensuing pettiness on his behalf following the rejection.

It's like watching one man and his dog at times. Some people form opinions in the same way as a sheep decides its direction. Don't think, follow the crowd. <laugh>
