Lol, why would we care? We managed to do it without that money and we've stayed there (so far). We've got nothing to be jealous about. This isn't a wum post, just answering the above post.

To the fans of other clubs: -

Sod off, this is nothing to do with you and your opinions for or against are not relevant nor wanted particularly as many will just use it as a wind up.

This is an issue for Cardiff fans and your views are meaningless.

Shaper....a lot of us will wait until Saturday when it becomes official as to what is happening.

i do not agree with the "I would rather go down fighting then put up with this"...good for you. I would rather have my football club than no club. Because we will be Cardiff City.

I am not happy with what is happening, but we need to see what the whole plan is and what the bigger picture is.

I also suggest it is difficult to give an opinion when it is not your club being offered this investment. Perhaps a once in a lifetime offer. Serious thought and consideration must be given.

I think you're being a bit myopic here. If you all showed a bit of backbone and resisted this, it would send a message to all the rich assholes in Asia that if they want a club, they have to buy into what it means to the supporters of that club. Not turn it into DatoChan FC at the expense of hard working long time supporters.

I can see what you're saying and I agree that it requires consideration, but it just reeks. I can't resolve it in my head that the money would ever be worth it.

I guess you have no knowledge of business and finance. To fight against this is like sticking your head up your arse and hoping it goes away. If it does go away then so does everything that has gone into the club in the last 2 years and we end up like Pompey/Rangers.

What reeks? The Malaysians want to put £100 million of their own money into the club and want to change the coulour of our strip and nickname in return. It will be an investment not a loan so they can't cut and run like Sam Hammam or the shysters at Pompey. They will be locked in by shares unless someone offers them a price they are willing to accept.

Don't be so narrow minded. Look at the big picture.

seriously...we do not have to change the badge and the colours to be sellable in malaysia...we have to change THE PLAYING TEAM!!!!! we are in the championship..its always going to be difficult to get people behind us in malaysia as long as that continues..so why not invest in malky and the squad thus making us a better equipped side to go for the premier league push next season..as i said in previous posts it seems they have not thought that may be thats where the problem lays..get us into the premier league or at least give us a better chance of that and then rest of the things will follow off the pitch. if they think a red kit and different badge will change things then i'm shocked as to how these lot ever become rich in the first place..the answer is simple..INVEST ON THE FIELD!!....i'm so wound up by this whole thing and i urge all sensible cardiff fans to go on the wales on line website and sign the petition on there against such actions...

I think there are still people who think that "Sam the man" will come galloping over the hill to save us........ we're still paying for his last fiasco.

    London

Investing on the field is part of the deal and even that doesn't guarantee success quickly. Look at Leicester.

I have trouble getting Walesonline on this pc but will go on there at home tonight and sign for the deal.

Take emotion out of this. We want/need to move forward, get rid of the Langstone threat and have the club set up for the future, not just next season. This will go a long way to achieving that.

bluefrombridgend... yes i agree regarding leicester but i still don't believe we have to overhaul the badge and colours to achieve any of this...look at it like this..why don't we adopt barcelona colours and a similar badge because they are so popular worldwide..ridiculous right?and so is the proposed malaysians plans.. its a ****ing pile of **** and i've never heard so much nonsense in all my life...they can do all of what they want to do and achieve without overhauling OUR BADGE,OUR COLOUR,HISTORY AND TRADITIONS..its our ****ing history man and traditions for christ sake.. i'm NOT letting vincent or anyone else take us lightly.........LISTEN TO ME PEOPLE WE COULD SET A PRECEDENT IF WE ALLOW THESE PEOPLE TO DO THIS..FOR THE LIFE OF GOD HAVE SOME BALLS AND STAND UP TO THIS.

London, i understand your feelings on this, and it doesn't sit entirely confortable with me, but at the end of the day it is a £100,000,000 investment. We will not have this as a loan round our necks.
At the end of the day how many people want to put serious money into Cardiff? If they want to put that amount of money in, they are going to want to run things their way. We can moan about the imorrality of this and of football in general but is does not change the fact that without investment, we will not survive.
As I have stated in a previous post, It is no longer as simple as an owner chucking money at the club due to the Financial Fair Play rules.
I do not think a protest against this is credible WITHOUT an alternative plan for investment. Far too many fans let their heart rule there head, when they offer no credible alternative.

If someone said we could get investment and keep the badge and blue, then I would go for that option. But no one is offering that. So to my mind its a case of accept the change and take the money, or do not change and die.

It will always be our history though London. That won't change. The offer is to change our future, that is what we have to consider.

what im asking is them to not change the colour and the emblem...instead of giving in we need to all let the investors know that we can still achieve the goal of premier league football and hopefully the ever growing global appeal of cardiff city fc following without changing our historical colours and tradtion.

If that can be done London, I am all for it. Let's see what is said on Saturday. Perhaps there will be more leeway.

if you offered me 2 options:

    1) no investment, keep colours
    2) £100m and change colours

then i, and expect the vast majority of people on here would choose 1.

however we dont havea choince, as the guy said, we have no choice but to accept these terms. this decision will have huge knock on effects, what i cant get my head around is that there are loads of red clubs out there, why not just do it there?

i notice real madrid this season changed their away kit red, maybe they are on to the same thing......but of course they aint changing their home kit.

how can one set of owners who probably wont be here in 10 years time change the clubs future?

why is changing our emblem and colour gonna change our future?....what because mr malaysian man said so......NO! they need to invest in malky and the team first..why make wholesale changes to club badge and colour when we haven't even made the premier yet? that is the reason behind it being difficult to push us in asia and globally because we are not reaching global audiences playing championship football.........but i got a plan....why don't we change the badge and colour to red..surely that will give us a global following wont it..........?..NO! we need a team that can compete for promotion next year not a bloody red kit and red dragon!

I respect your right to ask and I am with you on that 100%, but as with anything like this there are a vocal minority who will scream and shout, stamp their feet and protest, without having any credible alternative.
The fact is if the owners walked, we would be in the **** big time. The club operates at a loss, and selling a player a season like we had under Ridsdale will see us relegated and on the downward slope to be sure.
I dont claim to know the ins and out of the new Financial Regulations but I think it comes down to the fact that we will not be able to continue as we have been, getting £5+ million of the owner each year just to underwrite our losses.
