One of the best comedy characters ever from one of the best comedies ever written. R.I.P. father Jack and thanks for the laughs

George Kennedy. RIP. Good innings - 91.

Cool Hand Luke, Airplane, Naked Gun some of my favourite films.

He's in a most wonderful, absolutely awful 80's horror film called 'Uninvited' about an escaped mutant cat with a monster inside it. On a yacht. I've got it on video somewhere.

RIP George.

You missed out tv series Dallas He was great in that as Carter McKay. <laugh>

imo, George Kennedy was best as Joe Patroni (the airline trouble shooter) in the "Airport" disaster films(4 of them) - (Not the comedy spoof ones).

Indeed. R.I.P. George Kennedy. A true Hollywood heavy weight.

Got an Oscar for Cool Hand Luke. Brilliant actor. RIP There'll be some world shaking tonight.

He was smiling... That's right. You know, that, that Luke smile of his. He had it on his face right to the very end. Hell, if they didn't know it 'fore, they could tell right then that they weren't a-gonna beat him. That old Luke smile. Oh, Luke. He was some boy. Cool Hand Luke. Hell, he's a natural-born world-shaker.
