Not the right place really but .....

We can confirm that one of our greatest magicians and entertainers of all times, Paul Daniels, has sadly been diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour.

On behalf of Paul, Debbie and their families, we thank you for your kind concerns and support at this sad time and ask that their privacy continues to be respected.

There will be no further comments at this time.

Douglas Slocombe, one of cinema's best ever cinematographers, has passed away at the age of 103.

He shot about 80 films, including stuff like the original Indiana Jones films, The Italian Job, and many of the Ealing comedies such as Kind Hearts and Coronets, as well as filming a lot of Second World War material, including the Nazi invasion of Poland.

Captain Eric Brown - the Royal Navy's most decorated pilot - has died aged 97

RIP
An amazing man - bright as a button and a fantastic pilot. He was a brilliant speaker and inspiration to several generations of test pilots. I heard today that he'd earned some money as youngster by riding a Wall of Death motorbike whilst carrying a lion in the sidecar.

This might be him.
