There is no telephone line rental. It's just line rental and it's the line your broadband and phone use. If you don't want calls then you don't pay for them, but you need a line for your broadband to come down. It's the same anywhere. It's not right how they market it as some kind of separate, optional charge though. E.g. Broadband for £5 a month* *For the first 3 months, then £20 a month. Plus line rental of £17.99 a month.
