Dykes always gives 100 %, but he scores a goal every 15 games. He might score 1 in 10 in league One.
Willock is still our biggest talent!

I would guess other Championship sides might take a punt on some of our best players if we go down. Field might appeal to one of the promoted sides but none of the others have made a case for a big money move. Dykes is a bit of an enigma but transfer values will be seriously reduced if we go down so we'd be lucky to get what we paid for him. The full cost of relegation is going to be catastrophic for our finances and we are a long way from being serious contenders next season. We may have to look at League One and Two players for a rebuild...

Dykes (striker)
Goals 0
Assists 0
Shots on target 0
Shots off target 0
I’m sure much of this was down to the formation of the team and the overall poor performance but we need someone who can score.

Wow…. truely depressing reading thru all this.

Still struggling to understand how the players have dropped in standard.

l can’t even offer any suggestions that would help in any way.

As I see it, it is us or the Fakes who go down with Blackpool and Wigan.
We have - WBA (a), Coventry (h), Norwich (h), Burnley (a), Stoke (a), Bristols (h)
They have - Preston (a), Burnley (h), Luton (h), Coventry (a), Wigan (h), Hudds (a)
Zero points for us in the next five: Zero for the Fakes in their next four.
Their last two games could well put us down.
We're doooooooomed!

I'm pretty sure nobody will move for big money and I'm not sure who is out of contract this summer. Nobody will be offered an improved contract, that's for sure. If league one becomes reality despite Ainsworths optimism, then I dont foresee Dieng, Field, Dykes, Chair, Willock being with us for that journey. We will have to cut the wage bill drastically so everyone will be on the market. Even for the 5 named above, we will be lucky to get 4m for the lot of them.
It will be a season for Masterson, Archer, Drewe, Dixon-Bonner, Kakay, Albert, Kellman etc

Might as well call in the receivers

Oct 25th we were top when Burnley took over the lead, there are now 45 points between us, that is the shocking reality of our demise, just 2 wins in 5 and a half months...

We should all be extremely grateful that beale graced us with his management skills long enough to get the points which means we aren't already bottom and relegated
All hail the beale

Normal work day here so couldn't watch, but been followed on here in part, and updates from those I know at the game. What a shambles. Hard to point the finger at one individual/group. A series of ineptness.

Les' tenure as DoF has reaped nothing but manager after manager and mediocre signings.

The managers that have come in have not been able to get the players playing with any passion/desire.

The players don't seem to care, knowing they can not bother and move on when it all goes to pot.

How ugly was it at full-time?
We had good Friday off
Is it just a colonial thing or do other countries get a day off

Is Armstrong injured ? Cos I can't see how he wouldn't be playing in this pathetic side. At least there's some pace and aggression shown and 100% effort. Absolute joke

Without going all Pink Floyd that second goal made me comfortably numb.
Like when a close family member whose suffered a cancer for many years finally finds peace. Their fight has gone but the memories of former happy times still keep us warm.

Seeing Gerry Francis today reminded me of our near relegation to the third tier with him. At the time fans were ready to kill, people crying on phone-ins, anger filled the ground.
Had it stayed 1-0 I think the anger might have been there, after the second not even PNE could be bothered.

As for players for next year:
Dykes and Chair are somehow Internationals. Thats big in agent world. Hibs and Benifica get excited by that kind of thing.

Willocks brother plays for Newcastle, thats semi-big in agent world, Southampton get excited by that kind of thing.

As for the rest...I just hope they have good agents.
Its difficult to get excited about a keeper who concedes from crosses every single game.
Field, although one of our best is a holding midfield it isn't the most lucrative position.

As for the rest it may not be about whose sold, we've got to find someone to buy first.

These are the same players that were top of the league in October.
