    He's the director of football.
    How's that gone?

GA knew full well what he was getting into. We all knew, why wouldn’t he?

I wonder if any other team has dropped 20 places in the league as quickly as we have this season?

Normal work day here so couldn't watch, but been followed on here in part, and updates from those I know at the game. What a shambles. Hard to point the finger at one individual/group. A series of ineptness.

Les' tenure as DoF has reaped nothing but manager after manager and mediocre signings.

The managers that have come in have not been able to get the players playing with any passion/desire.

The players don't seem to care, knowing they can not bother and move on when it all goes to pot.

How ugly was it at full-time?

One shot on target for; six shots on target against.
They had a double barrelled Cannon; we had peashooters but no peas (but we certainly peed and ****ted our pants, again!).

How we allowed a situation that Beale could bugger off in his first season beggars belief.

We will never know but I seriously doubt we’d be where we are if he didn’t have the option of pissing off and leaving us in the lurch.

Les has to take the blame. He undermined Warburton when we were flying effectively forcing him out and everything since has gone tits-up. We were top with a few fortunate wins but the rot was already setting in before Beale buggered off and the rest is all in plain sight. This team would not be contenders in League One and our best players will be sold. 57 years supporting this club and we'll be back where I started with an absolute shyte team. Heartbreaking...<wah>

You're both correct. We wouldn't be staring down relegation and the players would have played with more "starch" had bargearse remained. But this kind of capitulation is reminiscent of the doldrums that my league team in Oz has been through in the 90's and noughties. And it all stemmed from poor admin. These players appear to have no incentive to lift. Why? Internal troubles? Can't discount, imho.
Six more games. Let's see what happens.

    Just back.
That was not pretty. Getting to HT was OK though it always seemed they were the more likely to score. A PNE team who actually played some nice footie and, miraculously did not time waste - probably cos they knew we were there for the taking!

Football was just dire. No confidence, everyone looking a shadow of their former sleeves and second best most of the time.

Ugly scenes at the end with chants of 'You're not fit to wear the shirt' and 'F off Les Ferdinand'. At least two fan on fan scuffles behind me in the P block and lots of boos.

I think we're all pretty much resigned to what seems now inevitable relegation. I'd prefer not to believe it until it happens but hope has pretty much evaporated.

Meant to also say that watched GA for a bit who appeared to have run out of ideas. Really hope this does not tarnish his legend status at QPR.

I certainly don't blame Ainsworth. I knew he was a very limited coach /manager prior to his arrival. I didn't expect anything more than what he has done. His appointment was obvious. Appease the fans, knowledge of league 1 and won't moan about not being able to spend a penny.

Clearly nothings going particularly well but it's an overly simplistic view to blame everything on one man just because our fan base always has to have a scapegoat. It's far more complicated than SLF is a **** DoF.

I'm not sure he has any ideas. He's a positive guy but without any tactical nous. Was always not going to end well. Laird and Balogun might aswell **** off now cos neither of them are interested. Means nothing to them whether we stay up or go down.
