Oh FFS! Davison “looking” into it. That isn’t an issue with security guards, it’s an issue with Facilities Management. They don’t have to contact their bosses, they will have a contact on site. Your information is coming from the bloke who is culpable and has a few more calamities under his watch, so I don’t fancy him holding his hands up and saying, “yes I’m ****ing useless”.
FYI he is not doing the investigation, it is someone else.

But your information regarding security guards has come from him. The snivelling little **** has been a disaster and is now blaming some OAP, part timer on the reception desk. The whole off field operations is a shambles under his watch and all he says, he will look into it. He needs to look into how the **** he can get out of here whilst trying to save face.

I was told it was an issue with the security guards, they ( the signage company) just bolled in and started setting up, without contacting their bosses.
I asked Steve yesterday he said it's being investigated and the answers will be passed on to us.
This will not be a white wash.
well the designs got signed off at the start of December and they were clearly measured up to fit so someone at the club passed it off,
no chance they just turned up and started doing it and if the try and say that it's insulting the intelligence of sunderland fans,

if no one is gone in the next week or 2 KLD new about it

to add to this aswell sunderland statement was them basically admitting it was them and even KLD basically said it was one of his employees

no company would risk doing that with out permission

The matter of the last few days won't get brushed under the carpet and people won't forget. Apologies on Instagram don't cut the mustard for that level of incompetence. The reputation damage and negative PR will lead to someone senior going the journey. Rightly so.

If KLD truly didn't know about it, find it bizarre given many normal fans did before Christmas and mentioned it plenty of times. He needs to be closer the the action of employ higher quality of staff who won't make these errors again.
Of course he will have known about it.

You are wrong and right here Nev, I am ****ing disgusted (I know a good joke about that phrase but would get a ban) about the way our club welcomed Saudi Arabia into the stadium of light, but we need to let it go, so you are correct there
Totally agree, hugely pissed off with it but it’s pointless not moving on from it.

I doubt very much that KLD would have known what they were going to be covered up with, but someone high up must have known. Then to let a contractor on site, who should have supplied Risk Assessment and Method Statements to satisfy the HSE without going through the site induction and aforementioned RA/MS is quite irresponsible from a Facilities Management point of view

As long as it's kept to one endless loop of a thread with endless speculation, like this, I've no problem.

I'd prefer it if KLD was allowed to do what he's said, and investigate, but I doubt some will believe anything he says anyway tbh.

I'd imagine with all the league games, Christmas and the build up to the derby things were hectic.

It was a balls up but I seriously doubt KLD would have any interest in what should've been a very minor matter.

I heard it was signed off by someone who is the stadium manager called Nick. I didn't even know we have a stadium manager.

You're correct , should be kept in this thread.

Just read Phil's piece in the echo. I think it's a good one and really summarized how a lot of Sunderland fans feel about the last week. Well the ones I know anyway.

Don't think we do. Think we have a head of events and it might still be (NC) , hasn't been here too long I don't think.

Apparently there's two Nick's but the one doing events/marketing isn't the one, it's the other one. By stadium manager they may have meant facilities so if there's a Nick working in there it could be him.

His only get out will be if he didn't know the exact details and was harsher than it first appeared. Going to be interesting moving ahead I think

Start with whoever was in charge of the organisation of the event on our side. Someone will have been leading on it.

If they didn't sign off on it, who did?

And if they did, what the **** were they thinking?

It might have been the company (but then you'd have to ask why they were happy to lose our custom forever), but it should have been stop stop stop the second the first one was unwrapped. They had clearly been left entirely alone for hours in there.

How do you know they were signed off then, ?

i like KLD and i think he'll get us somewhere in time,

but i think now the only way this gets sorted and stops the negative is SD goes

give bruce more control

he steps down as chairman and employees a new chairman who is here full time who over looks everything and everything goes through him

and then he reports TO KLD the important stuff

means in the future something like this won't ever happen again

well first off all ITV, mirror and times all reported and KLD him self and are club statement basically admitted it

Can't agree with that, the people he employs need to get their act together.

KLD goes to our games and lives for the club, if he's not chairman he's just a cheque book.

He's better than that.

i think when it comes to on field stuff he loves it and i think it's showed cos we've progressed , off field stuff he seems to have no interest and it needs sorted, he employed the people and for 2 years now it hasn't improved at all ans when questions get asked, all you here is, we are looking into it

i think bruce will sort a lot of it out and the summer is massive for Off field stuff cos are contract will be up for are kit supply so it will be the first time the can actually do something in that department and with Hummel likely comming back and the potential of the old badge coming back it could be a massive seller and if nothing changes in that side it will lose a canny bit of money

People keep saying that and ignoring the big progress that has been made tbh.
