yes, you’re right, it doesn’t hold enough gravity, and I still consider it twaddle. Although it’s good to talk, and yes it would be great business, probably for both parties if Liverpool could get 20m for a player who has no future with them, and we had it to spend .

I am sure he would look at bigger fish that seems to be Acun all over :emoticon-0102-bigsm, but i also think the type of young players they have brought in would be similar to what they possibly would want so i think if we did get promoted then i would presume they would try to be cheeky enough to try wrangle some type of deal or option to keep these players with a long term view and hope they progress with the club further.

They showed at southampton what they are capable of when they work together and they did very much look like a team that could hold their own in the premiership for that 45 minutes and if they keep progressing now this could be the best team of them all this year if we do go up and i think maybe the higher ups wanted to create a team that they can go up with and have a chance to keep players that helped acheive this , then add the quality again if we go up.

Most of the players they brought in do look capable of holding their own in the premiership and in the right team and enviroment i think.

Yes, turning point ..... clearly written & meant as in what we see on the pitch week in week out in terms of how we play ("..... I do however expect to be able to at least recognise us as a brave, high energy, pressing, positive (etc) side most games if that's how the coach repeatedly says he's asking them to play....."). I don't think anyone can sensibly argue that that's how we've been playing to date under Rosenior's tenure. Up until Tuesday, we'd previously had little glimpses, but that's all. Hopefully now it continues.

Got to remember not every team is going to let us play the way we would want to it's their job to stop it, LR has promised like you said and i think he has stuck to his original plan or process and now with the new players integrated it is starting to show promise and hopefully now we can reap the rewards.

    Yep, FACTS eh!
I was going to reply again with similar, but thought I was likely wasting my time as 1 or 2 seem intent, for some strange reason, on re-writing the history of one of the few true Hull City legends.
Yes, he had a few critics, probably because he was a 'only' a player that tended to do the simple things (albeit extraordinarily well) and left the fancy stuff to others (although even that is downplaying his ability when you look back at some of his goals for example).
And yes, some doubted his capability of repeating his form at the next level up.
The vast majority appreciated him, for his footballing ability and his leadership, through all 4 divisions.

And the point was that asking them to play a certain way doesn't always manifest itself for any manager, and every manager will always be aspiring for greater consistency.

80% ? Sometimes I think you watch a different team entirely.

I didn't get that from watching the team. I got it from official statz posted on here!! As OLM corrected me, I got it slightly wrong. It was 80% but that's in defensive and middle third.

You'd have known it was 'slightly' wrong by watching the team.

Of the loans we have, if we were to target just one, IMO Delap is the one we have to go after...

Was about to say the same. Not many front men that can do what he seems to keep doing so well.

Agreed. There are plenty of players available for a Premier League club to do a job the others can do but Delap is a big talent in a position that generally teams struggle to recruit. I feel if he wasnt injured there may have been bids for him after Christmas from other clubs to Man City.
