Whoops. Yeah 93.

See when you teach four year olds, they don't notice so I don't bother. <laugh>

Similar in HE. They probably would notice, but they're either too hungover, busy shagging or whining about being skint (despite cashing more beer/restaurant/package hol tokens than me) to notice.

Are you suggesting Southampton allowed us to play bravely or that LR was lying previously when he said he wanted us to be brave and secretly he was telling them not to be? Surely not, so presumably you're referring to Southampton's style of play. Which indicates we won't be able to play in that way in each game. The level of performance can be maintained though and a lot, as many of us have said, comes down to the mentality of the players, who regularly seem to take their foot off the gas rather than continue pressing teams, as happened against Millwall.
If Rosenior wants us to play, as he's said multiple times since he's been here, with high energy, pressing, to be positive, to excite, etc, then it's his job to ensure we do that, to set us up and shape the tactics irrespective of who we play so that we do, etc. We rarely have done. Tuesday night was such a refreshing change. Long may it continue.

Oh so you did mean Rosenior allowed it. Fair enough.

Intent is one thing. Getting 11 blokes who've known eachother a month to do that is a different matter.

First 30 against Millwall, we showed that, Rotherham for the most part we performed.

You speak as if any side gets it all their own way in the championship. They don't.

The consistent ones in the championship are almost always the parachute clubs or anomalies like Ipswich, Luton or Cov , where there's been consistency in approach over time.

But if you expect 13 sets of 90+ minutes like first half Southampton over the rest of the season its simply not going to happen.

The fact we’re even discussing autos makes me happy

Something I do worry about in this hypothetical world, we make the play off final but lose, I wonder what effect it has on the team next season?

I feel if we started next season right now, we go up automatically.

We do have a great record at Wembley though

I think it would give us belief and hunger, but I also think it depends on what the squad looks like. Acun has given us no reason to doubt him over the last two transfer windows, but there'll be some big shoes to fill in that squad for next season. I would hope players look at us as a bit more legitimate next summer, and if we don't go up, I'd back us to be right in the conversation for the automatics.

I think we may end up keeping a few of those big shoes we would need to fill.

It was 20 tops v Millwall, not 30.
It's not about the last month. Rosenior has been in charge since 3rd November 2022.
I don't expect 13 sets of Southampton first half. I'm not stupid. I do however expect to be able to at least recognise us as a brave, high energy, pressing, positive (etc) side most games if that's how the coach repeatedly says he's asking them to play. Instead we've repeatedly seen us prat around at the back (80% of passes in our own half) with very little of the traits Rosenior repeatedly mentions.
As said, hopefully Southampton proves to be something of a turning point.

80% of our passes are not in our own half, it's 80% of passes in the defensive third and the midfield third combined.

Even if you look at just our centre backs, Greaves stats are 51% of touches in the defensive third, 42% in the midfield third and 7% in the attacking third and Alfie's stats not much different.

A few? Which of Delap, Morton, Carvalho and zaroury are we keeping?

I did not say we are keeping did i, i said i think we may and i actually think we will try to keep Delap and maybe Zaroury i also think the club may try for Morton but obviously that will be difficult.

Ashbee’s reputation and standing was very odd in its progression.

He was extremely unpopular in League 2, routinely slagged off.

In League 1 still very unpopular but not quite as bad as League 2.

Championship he had a lot of criticism but nowhere near the levels before.

His seasons in the Prem were his best in terms
of popularity.

So the same player who played the same in the same position in every league apparently went from ****e to brilliant as the standard got more difficult.
His seasons in the prem…
The memory eh
Ash only played one season in the premier league he got injured towards the end of the first season and didn’t return until the following championship season

For "allowed to", I would insert not having lumps kicked out of the players. Against a footballing side, be brave, play the football I know you can. Against, say Norwich, be brave, this is going to hurt.
