One question I have, and I'm not sure if its already been answered, but by almost all European laws the act was not illegal as the girl was 17 years old. If Prince Andrew, as ****ed up as it may be, was to have sex with a 17 year old British girl it would be completely legal. So, can he even be prosecuted? Certainly not here in Britain?

If Epstein was supplying the girl, forcing her essentially, then still Epstein is the one primarily to blame as Andrew can simply claim ignorance.

If the offence took place where the age of consent is different ignorance is no defense, if travelling you should make yourself aware of legal differences, if you were caught 'drink driving' in a country where the legal limit is lower they aren't going to let you off because of the difference in the UK, same applies.

I did suggest that but apparently it seems like something might have happened between them in Florida. The law is different over there.

Unfortunately, I also believe that the US authorities would have 'lost' any incriminating evidence on one of our Royals.

The mad thing is that he could potentially have had sex with her legally in one state then have crossed a border where if they have sex again he would have committed an illegal act ...

Everywhere has different rules.
There age of consent laws in some countries as low as ****ing 12!! :emoticon-0119-puke:
It seems mad, especially in the US where each state has different laws, but the only fair way to do it is to govern by geography.
If Andy took a girl who he could legally bang in the UK, to somewhere where it was illegal, then the guys a ****ing idiot.

Yep pure arrogance that he wouldn't get busted. I still think we should do swapsies, we will give them Andrew and they give us that bitch who killed that lad by driving on the wrong side of the road and legged it under diplomatic immunity.

More likely Liz will get on the blower to Trump and agree to make sure that charges are dropped against the hit and run bitch in exchange for them "losing" any intelligence that the yanks have on Andrew......

I'd agree that both are unlikely to see a court room

Indeed. The argument that a girl is fair game if she’s above the age of consent is a bit simplistic.

Not sure I've seen anybody put that idea forward on here ... but there are a lot of assumptions and assertions being made about the circumstances surrounding events that are not from first hand accounts or knowledge ...
